This was our first B & B experience since 1981 so you might say we are not B & B people but were willing to give it a try. Our room had one double and two twin beds and a separate bath with shower, just what we needed. The beds were comfortable and sleeping was restful. Mary, the proprietress, took our order for breakfast and answered our questions about local history along with suggestions about where to eat. She helped us link up with the relatives we were to meet later in the day. The view out the front window of the yard, harbor, ferry and green of the mainland is spectacular. I do recommend Spring Acre B & B for a visit to Valentia Island.

We stayed at The Spring Acre B&B for one night during our family tour of Ireland. Our host Mary was wonderful and our room was spacious with a fantastic view of Valencia Harbor. The Home is situated in Knight’s Town with pubs and sites within walking distance. We had a comfortable night and awoke to a great full Irish breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation.

I shared the family room with my husband and another couple. Mary was very welcoming. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, best shower we had in Ireland! Mary's breakfast was beautiful and delicious. She gave us a friendly send off for our journey to Skellig Michael. Our room had a nice patio and sunroom that overlooked the bay. It was breathtaking! We would definitely return.

My husband and I spent a night at this B&B while driving around the Ring of Kerry. We were given a lovely large room which had a covered veranda and which looked out over the harbour. The location was very quiet, the bed was comfortable and Mary's breakfast was delicious (she even gave us a lovely fruit salad). It was a short walk to the Royal Valentia Hotel for dinner. Can thoroughly recommend!

Negatives... small bathroom, toilet that rocked when you say in it, shower leaked badly and room slightly musty. Positives... friendly welcome, good location near harbour, accommodated early breakfast request and breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked.

A great spot for a family to stay together. Mary was a wonderful hostess- so attentive. Great Irish breakfast! We loved the location, explored lots of great spots on remote Valentia Island since the boats were unable to go to Skellig Michael, walked to the nearby Royal Valentia Hotel for dinner then relaxed watching the water and car ferry travel back and forth. The Valentia Ice Cream shop was another great find with a friendly owner who share interesting historical facts of the area with us. An island steeped in history, very remote, quiet but very enjoyable!

A really nice B&B, in a quiet location near Knightstown. The room was spotless and spacious, with a proper 2000 watt hairdryer provided (very important!). Plenty or parking and an excellent breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and the welcome from Mary who provided good travel suggestions. I would recommend this B&B.

Thanks very much to Mary, who helped to make our stay in Knightstown this weekend a very pleasurable one. We got a very warm welcome on arrival and shown to our room which was beautiful and extremely clean, not to mention the stunning view out onto the harbour. I hope to return to Valentia someday and will definitely be calling on Mary again.

Lovely setting right as you get off the ferry. Mary, the hostess was very helpful and informative. The accommodations were cheerful, clean and roomy. I wish we could have stayed longer. The setting was lovely looking out on the bay from our porch. Breakfast was delicious with many options. Thank you Mary!
