Great there is parking too as busy part of the town.
We stayed in room 9, which was a corner room with a sea view, one double and one single bed, and en suite bathroom. The linen, duvets and pillows were super comfortable and the bed mattresses were firm. The only gripes with the stay were the window above the bedroom door, which while it had a blind over it, didn't really do much good and light streamed into what would otherwise have been a nicely dark room; the other (minor) gripe was the heat of the shower... It was too hot for me and despite turning down to what should have been cold, it was still HOT. However, neither detracted too badly and the room was very, very nice overall.
The breakfast was a really generous selection of cereals, toast, scones, brown bread, fruit juices, yoghurt, tea, fresh coffee and fruit with a full a Irish breakfast on offer as the "piece de resistance"; this was served with a choice of eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomato, and white pudding. The only let down on the plate were the sausages, which were not luxury ones, but those cheap, mushy alternatives; like the room griped though, it didn't bother me much and overall the breakfast was superb.
The thing that really made the stay was the friendly, welcoming service from Donal and Margaret, particularly Margaret who was simply brilliant; our little one didn't sleep well on the first night (new bed) and when I emerged from the room at a little after 7 am to give my wife a little extra sleep, I was met with Margaret's beaming smile down by the desk and the offer of a cup of fresh coffee; bearing in mind that this was 90 mins before breakfast was due to start and Margaret had only just come in the front door, I was bowled over. The same fantastic attitude was applied the whole stay. Even the stay rates were really reasonable.
I'd highly recommend staying here if you're making a trip to Courtown.
The guest house was very comfortable and in the centre of Courtown with walking distance to all the entertainment, which was excellent.
I would recommend to have breakfast in the guesthouse as the hospitality was excellent,
Courtown has bowling, craxy golf, indoor swimming facilities, beautiful beach, lovley bar where the food and entertainment was brillant Ambrose Moloneys.
I will return again next year....
Breakfast was the best and had subtle changes everyday we stayed. We have family there and will be using this guesthouse again.
Breakfast is also a treat, with not a spot if oil or grease to be seen on the full Irish. Every taste is catered for in the breakfast room. If only every business could be conducted in Courtown the same way, it would be a fantastic seaside village. A lot of the greedy businesses seem to want to try rip people off, because they know you would have to buy it there or travel all the way to Gorey.
We will be back again as soon as the opportunity arises.
