This place was not as advertised -- it was way better! How often can you say that in life? The pictures don't even do it justice. Imagine waking up every morning to a postcard view of a gorgeous green-blue expanse of ocean, then sitting on your deck (you know, the one with the amazing infinity pool that looks like it is falling off into the ocean?) and sipping your tea or coffee as a little white sailboat cruises by in the distance, exactly on time to perfect your morning joy. Later that evening, imagine lounging in that deliciously cool infinity pool sipping a cocktail as you experience a breathtaking sunset over the ocean. Yeah, that was every day at Tamarind Hills. Not only that, we also had an upper deck off the main bedrooms with that same amazing view and a patio on the level below with sunbathing chairs off the guest bedroom. And that's not all! A few steps from that patio? A private beach just for Tamarind Hills residents. Tamarind Beach too small for you? No problem. Take a left and visit Darkwood Beach, perfect for kids with its floating obstacle course/jungle gym. Or take a right instead, go down the boardwalk, and you're at Fryes Beach -- a long beach of endless soft sand (and occasional rainbows!) ending in a convenient little beach-side restaurant with a delicious selection of foods. Not making this up! On nights we didn't grill at home, that was a favorite spot for an easy meal. Of course, a short drive away was Jolly Harbour, a great little community with bars and restaurants on the water, live music and a fully stocked grocery store. We stayed at Tamarind Hills for a month as part of a "work from paradise" experiment, and -- as you can tell -- the experience was beyond all expectations. It was everything we hoped for and then some. In addition to the above, the unit had plenty of room, excellent AC, daily (first-rate) maid service, a gated entrance manned 24/7 by friendly security, and (most important for us) reliable WiFi that was able to accommodate three children doing online school and two remote-working parents. If you're looking for a home away from home in paradise, especially for a longer stay, this is the place for you!

This place is the real deal. Conflicted about writing this review since I don’t know if I want too many more people finding out about this special gem. The double beach access to Darkwood and Ffryes is amazing. The boardwalk connecting both is perfect, the villas are all perfectly laid out with beautiful infinity pools and the security and COVID protocols are excellent. The staff is amazing - Bancroft and Alfredo were both very helpful and arranged transports, reservations etc with ease and diligence. I cannot recommend Tamarind Hills enough and we will be back again soon! Best, Adam

Tamarind Hills is one of the most beautiful and mesmerizing places on earth. We stayed from 12/26/20 through 1/2/21. The sound of waves crashing to shore will lull you into a trance. There are unimaginable and ubiquitous Caribbean ocean views from every window. Beautiful architecture, with quality workmanship are its hallmarks. We came with vacation plans to go to restaurants daily, but quickly abandoned those plans. No one wanted to leave the stunning villa with its endless ocean views. We were captivated by the panoramic ocean views from the moment we walked into the villa. The only restaurant we ventured out to was lovely Sheer Rocks (a 5 minute drive) for tapas. A fully stocked supermarket is only 5 minutes away. Complimenting its incomparable beauty are its spectacular employees. They are truly kind, caring, professional and accommodating. No request was left unanswered. TH has taken the concept of guest service to a higher level. Shortly upon our arrival, Mr. Alfredo (property manager) personally came to our villa to introduce himself. He asked if there was anything he could do to enhance our stay. The following day, an issue arose (unrelated to TH) . An opportunistic local resident falsely inflated his minor and dubious property damage (car) claim. (We did not let this opportunistic bad apple sour our vacation. We believe most Antiguans are honest and nice.) Mr Alfredo thoroughly explained our options and went so far as to accompany us to the police station. Mr. Alfredo's expertise, kindness, and professionalism is astounding. To care, on this level, for your guests is truly remarkable. Mr. Alfredo did everything in his powers to put us at ease. You will never find this level of service elsewhere. Mr. Bancroft (guest relations) also truly cares about his guests. We casually commented about the relentless mosquitos. Within minutes, he brought us bug repellent. He also took us, in his own car, to the market to get groceries. One day , Mr. Bancroft saw us walking on the beach. He immediately ran to us and asked if he could set up lounge chairs for us. He also tried coordinating our activities, although we ultimately decided against activities, because this place is too beautiful to leave. Ms. Nafuna is also praise worthy. She also came to our villa to introduce herself. Prior to arrival, she emailed us several times. Her prompt replies to our emails and willingness to answer our questions was a most auspicious start to our memorable stay. Now, let me tell you about the stunning villa. We stayed at B8. It is 3 levels (with decks on each level) and has 4 bedrooms. We did not use to lower suite which is private and accessible by stairs with a separate entrance. The main villa is huge and luxurious. It is quality built. The en-suite bathrooms have adjoining indoor and outdoor showers. It is very spa-like. The 4 large TVs have Netflix and great resolution. The outdoor space is fantastic. The infinity pool is spotless. The pergola overlooking the crystal blue ocean provided a romantic spot for dining. Every day, we commented, with awe, about the fully stocked modern chef's kitchen. The beautiful kitchen has white cabinets and a large white quartz island. The kitchen is fully stocked with every imaginable service ware, cookware, bake ware, utensil, juicer, grilling set. You will want for nothing here. We had daily maid service and the pool boy came several times during our stay. My advice: don't pack too much (you won't wear most of your nice evening clothes); if you rent a car, take their insurance (which we regrettably did not; going through your credit card is a hassle); and bring plenty of bug spray. Thank you, TH, for your exemplary service and providing us with a memorable and enjoyable stay. We are already planning our return!

We have just returned from a relaxing holiday at Tamarind Hills in Antigua. We'd like to comment on Location, Accommodation and Service. 1. Location - The complex is located on the west coast of the island, only about 20 min from the airport - with breathtaking views from your villa or suite. It is gated with excellent, yet polite security. It is away from the bustle of tourist areas yet so close to Jolly Harbour for groceries, the yacht club for charters, banks and shopping. We have travelled extensively in the Caribbean and are beach lovers. Fryers Beach is one of the best. Clean, powdery white sand, turquoise water, no seaweed, no hustlers - pure luxury. The complex is nestled between two of the finest beaches in Antigua - Fryers and Darkwood. We were there in peak season and mostly had the beach to ourselves, along with one or two other families in the distance. Luxury is privacy. 2. Accommodation. Extremely well architected, constructed, maintained and decorated. Modern and comfortable. Well equipped kitchens, comfortable beds, and stylish furniture indoors and out. We were most impressed with the calibre of construction and finishes. The cleaning crew arrives seamlessly everyday and once finished, your suite or villa will be cleaner than an NHS Operating Room. Literally every grain of sand is gone, glassware spotless, sheets pressed awaiting your next chilled glass of Veuve or favourite G&T mix, sheets pressed, etc. 3. Service. First class. From the moment Bancroft (Guest Relations) greets you upon arrival from the airport, to the moment you depart after your holiday, your needs will be addressed almost instantaneously. Bancroft is a true host, explaining everything you need for your stay (how to connect to the strong fibre wifi, calling taxis (ask for Darin's Taxi Service), car rentals, restaurant reservations, etc. Rogeh is also extremely responsive if you need anything else arranged - photographers to capture your holiday (Aziz is excellent with proper knowledge, experience and equipment) or any upgrades you'd like. Don't hesitate to book to your stay. Ask for Nufana in Reservations - she knows the villas and suites inside out and is a pleasure to work with. Worth every penny. The owner truly puts her heart into the complex only using the best materials and artisanship. Enjoy the exclusivity of Tamarind-Hills!

There are not enough words to describe how the staff and this beautiful Villa made me feel! I felt at home! Every wish I had was granted by Nafuna & Bancroft! The location is very serene and peaceful. The villa faces the west so you may not see the sunrise but the sunsets are unforgettable! The beaches are enchanting and the accommodations will make you never want to leave. The villa we had was spacious, modern and very clean. The infinity pool was amazing and always stayed warm so a night dip was very refreshing. I actually cannot fathom staying anywhere else when I come back to visit!
