Detailed Reviews
We have stayed there two times already and we will keep coming back there. The location is perfect, in the centre but still in a quite place, close to spa, park. We have there everything what we need during our stay. We use the same room with a (side) view to the hills, which is wide enough, clean, with a new bathroom and comfortable beds. Yes, small fridge and a kettle would be helpful, but still it is a pension with a restaurant in it. The breakfast is basic, but fresh and tasty. I think everybody can find something to eat. The previous year we got a plate this year it was a (small) buffet style. As we are not very picky in the morning (yogurt or toast with butter are enough), we get what we need. The food in the restaurant is fresh and tasty, If there are some complaints about it, I do not see a reason for them. I have not had a bad experience, and to be honest, I always look forward to the food there. I do not choose another restaurants around (maybe after some bad experience with other restaurants around in past). The staff are very friendly, especially Andrej and Beata who are extremely friendly, careful and helpful. They are the extra value of the accommodation. There is also a private small spa with awesome massage services, sauna and a private Jacuzzi inside. Exterior of the accommodation is very nice, with nice view of the town and hills, enough parking lots, so you can feel safe for your car and still keep an eye on it. We always get a perfect rest and service there, and as they still keep on improving it, we definitely come back there and recommend it.

Actually, we've spent only one night in the hotel so I haven't collected too much data for the review. I only know that I've slept really great (because of hotrel or because it's situated next to the forrest, in this spa?), the room and bathrom were clean, staff nice. Only "bad" thing is a really modest breakfast. It could be definitely better.

pros:
The guesthouse is located in a quiet location of Rajecke Teplice, though not far from Aphrodite spa and the city center. The nice renovated building from 1890 offers modern and original interior from the 19th century.
We stayed in the studio deluxe (room 47) which was spacious a nice decorated. With a big flat TV, comfortable king size bed, mini fridge, kitchenette with everything you need for preparing coffee, tea and even meal. The bathroom comes with a bathtub and a hair dryer.
The breakfast was great a the selection was nice. The breakfast room is awesome. You will feel like a lord in a castle.
You can book a private wellness with sauna, whirlpool and relaxing corner. It was very clean and great experience.
Many thanks to all staff, we felt welcomed. The ladies are very kind and helpful.
I definitely recommend this guesthouse and will come again.
cons:
More suggestions than cons. We found dust fluffs on the wardrobe and on the vestibule shelf, also on the radiator columns in the bathroom.
The king size bed has two mattresses. It´s okay for friends, but I think a couple would appreciate one king size mattress as there is a gap.
The WiFi in our room was not that strong.

We stayed only for one night. Room was nice and clean. Spacious enough. We had breakfast included, which was very rich and plenty to choose from! Place has free private parking with cctv. It has wellness, but we did not have time to try it. Staff was nice and polite. There wasn't complementary shower gel or shampoo in bathroom, but it did not bother us, just bring your own if you are planning to stay there. It has free wifi connection. Flatscreen TV with only Slovak channels. Location is absolutely superb! Close to the municipal park, next to few pubs and restaurants, walking distance to city centre.

Stayed at the Talisman for 5 nights. Nice surroundings, horrible hotel. Service absolutely non-existent. Didn’t make up my room even once! Didn’t serve food after 7:30pm and refused service outside during a light rain shower even though the tables were situated under umbrellas. The management also refused to permit drinks to be charged to your room! Paid €350 for 5 nights and never felt so ripped off and I have travelled extensively. Even some of the worst dives in Mexico have been more accommodating. I don’t usually write reviews as opinions are subjective, however I felt compelled to warn fellow travellers to avoid and spend your hard earned money more wisely than I did. I awarded a star purely on the efforts of a single waitress who endeavoured to accommodate us. She should seek alternative employment where she might benefit from satisfied customers. Thank God I check out tomorrow morning!!!!

By far the worst experience during 25 years of travelling across Europe. After check-in and payment we kindly asked the (obviously annoyed) receptionist the get a proper business invoice, ie. including company name and VAT. The reception lady called a manager. He came down in home trousers and T-shirt. visibly upset upon our request. We explained him, that we need the proper paper invoice for our Czech company accountant. He replied: "Here you are in Slovakia". We argued that we are Czech company and even requested the business invoice in advance on Booking.com. He said he is not Booking.com. Terrible talk, no goodwill to help us and solve the problem. When we asked him, if he used to speak this way to all guests and customers, he started to be aggressive and suggested, that if he likes, he can throw us out of hotel. I never met such arogant and impudent hotel manager in my entire life. If the stay was not paid already and we were not too tired after 500 km of driving, we would turn round and go. Noone will definitely see us there ever again. WARNING: This pension charges extra fee for late check-in after 20:00. The exact amount is however not published in hotel policy, neither in booking conditions. So you may get easily surprised at check-in by heavy surcharge on top of your room rate. Breakfast is served only after 8:30. If you need to leave earlier, you are bad luck.
