Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Toilets: clean but no toilet paper. Showers: The floor is dirty (grass) and you cannot control the water temperature. Staff: A bit rude but did not bother me. Good location and enough space to camp. Overall it is not good but not terrible :)

We stayed here in our van for 3 nights. The sites are unmarked so you just pick your spot. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean even though the site was quite busy. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great hikes. The hiking is excellent although some of the trails(mainly those near to ski lifts)are incredibly busy.
Nice bar area with cheap beer!
Highly recommended.

We drove around Slovakia and stayed here for 3 nights. The camping has more than what one needs in a camping place (showers, toilets and lots of place to pitch a tent are needed, but wifi and a mini-store with basics and food go beyond what i expect when camping.

It is very nicely located close to Tatranska Lomnica (ca 3km) and Strbske Pleso (ca 24km), both easily reachable by car, bike or train, where you can start all sorts of biking and hiking.

The facilities are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful (they get along in German more than in English).

I think we will come back in the next years and will certainly stay there again.

Drawback: groups of teenies who don't want to sleep early and don't others catch their sleep can be found here.

We read good reviews and came with high hopes. The kitchen and shower facilities are satisfactory. The buffet with beer prices is ok. But be careful when buying buns. The guy overcharged three times more and even didn't give the receipt. The worst thing this camping mismanages is the number of tents. The terriyory is not devided into clear sections so the tent "city" is absolute chaos. If you leave to the mountains with your car, be sure you'll find its plaxe occupied by somebody's tent. The next day the story repeats or even worse - you find your tent surrounded by other campers and cannot reach the teby by car. That complicates carrying the things. Rijo camspite HAS to take example from Piejuras Campsite in Venspils. They know gow to ensure each client has his own space and is not threatened by others.
The road behind the fence is really noisy. The cars drive fast till late evening and start from early morning. So better choose a place closer to showers.

This is a moderately big camp with nice view to the Lomnicky Stit (2634m).
Attributes: Grassy ground, friendly stuff, fair prices, a small shop / kiosk for everyday needs (open hours: 6:30 - 9:30 and 17:00 - 22:00) with simple dishes, cookies and drinks.
Old school showers and toilets but cleaned regularly.
The nearest station of the 'elektricka' (train line along the south slopes of the High Tatra) is about 1km but it's simpler using your car and park in the villages which are the usual starting points of the hikes.

Camping field is nice and smooth with a beautiful view of the mountains. Location is great for hiking, because it is close to the road and train station + hiking parkings. Road is also a bit of a downside because the camping field is right next to it. But if you trade the view of the mountains for the other side of the field, you won't be bothered by the road. Shower facilities are sober; 2 out of 4 showers are warm and located in the same shower booth - so little privacy and long queues at popular times. Toilets also simple, but clean. There is a kitchen for cooking, great for when it's raining. There is no name-tag system in the fridge which unfortunately automatically means people start stealing your food and drinks. So bring your own box or markers to avoid this. Friendly reception. All in all, this campsite is OK and I would recommend it for hikers especially.

Rijo is a camping place which has really clean facilities and an in-house buffet/restaurant opened from 6am to 10pm serving cheap local food/beers and tatra tea! We never had any difficulties sleeping despite all types of age groups being on the camping ground. We stationed ourselves at Rijo as a base to visit the Tatras and the Slovak National Park.

We managed to plant ourselves next to a bench under a tree, yet, a lot of tents were exposed to the sun. So, the early bird catches the worm! Basic supermarket is right around the corner and the cable car stations were close-by (by car). The hosts are very helpful, yet mostly speak german rather than english.

We would definitely come back!

Went here for day hiking in Tatranská Lomnica. You can begin your hike already from the camping grounds (4 or 6 hr options)

Helpful staff and the grounds are well maintained. Fresh showers. Somewhat dark toilets (paper is under the roof outside)

Great view of the Tatras. Lots of spaces to choose from, majority with tents.

Stayed here for 2 nights with some friends. Location is nice, a few minutes drive to the mountains. From there you can take the cable lift into the mountains. The campsite is beautifull. The view is stunning. It is cheap and the staff is helpfull. The toilets and the showers are aged and really dark. Some showers are cold.

Nice and clean camping place with excellent facilities. The staff is kind and the guest are friendly. You're kind a in the middle of nowhere surrounded by lovely nature but it doesn't take a lot of effort to get there. Thanks for a great stay!
