I've tried to book connecting rooms in this hotel. I intend to travel with the family /wife and 3 little kids/. There was an option to make a reservation for connecting rooms. You can make a reservation, but there is no guarantee for it. Even when you are paying in front, they will not make such reservation. Only for two separate double rooms. They have told us, even if we pay upfront, we can not claim connecting rooms, if we will get two separate rooms. So not really an option for families.
Stayed in September for 2 nights in their suite and loved every bit of it. Except for dinner in their restaurant (which my wife liked) everything was top notch. Girls at the desk very pleasant, expecting you with smile, trying to be helpful at all times. Hotel is located right inside thermal park with straight access to pools and all the fun. Our package contained a voucher for massage, which my wife just loved. Our little boy loved indoor kid's pools, water slides, artificial waves and so on. One really remarkable thing that I need to mention was their breakfast. Guys, something out this world! Never ever have I seen such variety of food and taste and quality was simply 5-star. Sorry I could not say that about dinner, but on the other hand, my wife did enjoy it, so I have to give their chef benefit of a doubt :o) All in all great stay and we'll definitely be back. Well done Galeria Thermal!…
If you need to relax with your family or friends (but, not for long) the Besenova Galeria Hotel is a good choice. I had a reservation in Mr.Ivan Vatral's property. It can fit 3-4 people (preferably, family). We were 3. The best thing about the hotel is the thermal spa, of course. It somehow makes your body to relax and then, fills with the energy. Kids are amused with the water park and heated swimming pool.
good: thermal pool that opens at 8h00 till about 22h00. water is brown and comes from a single source that the hotel shares with the thermal water park. 2 small pools at 40degrees and a larger one at 36 degrees. Hotel pools separated from rest of water park by a fence. Our room was nicely renovated with air condition and a balcony overlooking the water park. There is construction nearby and the trains pass nearby, so it was a bit noisy. bathroom is small and fits one person at a time, but there is a separate toilet. Bad: parking is hard to find with everyone wanting to go to the water park. Breakfast was adequate, not the best and the room needs to be updated. Overall, we felt that without the thermal hot pool, it was not a hotel worth to visit. Check in and out is regulated: 15h00 check-in for everyone and everyone must check out at 10h00…
Hotel is reconstructed, rooms are nice and clean. However still in last century; they did not discovered you want to charge your phone. If you want to, then no bed light. At desk no electric plug either. Spacious bathroom without bath which would certainly fit. Reception is another story - we came, my wife forgot ID in the car parked far away. I begged (had to, as I was refused) for room keys - no mercy! Come back with second ID! Without both ID no room! Nice looking (only nice looking) Maria totally destroyed our perception of the hotel. If it would be standard trip and not aqua park visit, we would change the hotel.
New and nice hotel with great thermal pools and view to the nature. Reception is very slow as we waited for check in more than 20 minutes. You get chip for free entrance to the pool, but mine was broken and reception was solving this (and made few replacements) for more than 2 hours without any sucess. Rooms are clean and good size. Bathroom is very small, but for short stay ok. Biggest problem is dining. We ordered half board which we immediatelly cancelled when we see the restaurant- better to say cantine. Space is not in the hotel but nearby hotel, somewhere in the cellar. Horrible quality of food, max 2* hotel. No choice, most of it unhealthy and looked and tasted really disgusting. Oveall fine accomodation with extremely horrible dining and slow and badly trained reception.
The hotel has free car parking Located in a quiet rural area. Clean and tidy and the staff are great. Breakfast is good, the food is fresh. Rooms are large and well-equipped The beds are large and sleep quality is very good The hotel has stunning thermal pools. Great place to relax in. The hotel is adjacent to a water park, especially great for children. The hotel is in a good spot for day trips. Close to some great tourist spots and some great restaurants. We were very pleased. Highly recommended
We were in this hotel at the beginning of December last year. The hotel is great. New, clean, cozy rooms, thermal pool... But for the dining they have one restaurant only, where coms people from another hotel, which have 3 stars only. Why the hotel don't have his one restaurant? So, if you would like to get massage, you should go to aqua park Besenova outside however temperature is -5... If outside is cold, put some worm cap, because of damp your hear are wet and in the evening with -5 outside you will get ice on your head... I think, the hotel such level could make the price of the room for 2 euro more and include the cap for winter time in the pool.
We (2 adults and 2 kids aged 9 and 11) stayed here for 6 days with another family of 4. One of our party is Slovakian and booked connecting rooms for both families, but upon arrival we were told there was only 1 set of connecting rooms available, which meant upheaval for one family (not ours, thankfully!!). Unfortunately, we were also grated by a rather grumpy bar man who proceeded to tell our kids “I do not speak English” when they asked for help with something! Thankfully, he wasn’t working all week and all the other staff we met were generally very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is shared with the next door 3 star hotel and for me this showed. The food was typical Slovakian and there was very little (no) fresh fruit. Some days pancakes were cooked fresh, which the kids liked but these often stopped at 9.30 so by the time we arrived for breakfast (9.45) there were none left. Breakfast finished at 10. Also as guests of the Galeria you can get some additional extras at breakfast but we weren’t told about this until a few days in, and only when we spoke with a waitress. Breakfast was ok but was probably the biggest disappointment. The thermal pool are a nice touch, especially after a day’s skiing, but they are very brown and stained all our costumes. You can drink by the pools with plastic glasses but it would be better if there was the ability to order drinks from the bar area that overlooks the pools. You can also access the aqua park but agin the communication about this is poor. It implies 3 free hours per day (I do not know why it’s 3 hours) but we were charged 20 Euro per adult and 14 Euro per child?! You are also issued with a watch type access pass, which makes sense for the pools but it makes it somewhat awkward to access the rooms. These are needed to access the lift (but not the stairs??). The bar serves a very nice local beer (enjoyed when mr grumpy was not working!) and it has a wide range of wines/whiskeys. The hotel focuses a lot on wellness, but I think it’s getting confused - for example the breakfast is by no means healthy (fired eggs, sausages, eggy bread, cakes...). It does offer some limited fruit options between 11-4 but I suspect most guests are out during this time; we certainly were. There was a very nice pizza restaurant just down the road and an excellent local Slovakian restaurant as you enter Besenova. The rooms we had were clean and spacious although when and what replacement towels we had was a little random. I think the thermal pools and aqua park save the hotel from the breakfast and just about make it 4 star. …
No coffee in room - railway track nearby, very noisy - 35 min wait for bar food then arrives cold - very poor breakfast, probably the worse, I've experienced in a 4 star hotel (very busy, queues for what little was on offer - won't be rushing back anytime soon.... The highlight was the spar experience which was good...
