My husband and I recently stayed at the Lone Star. We had an absolutely fabulous experience. We loved the proximity of our room to the beach and dining areas. The most important aspect that made our experience special was the staff - they went out of their way to make sure we were attended to. From the moment we arrived from a very early morning flight, Beverly helped us get comfortable until our room was ready. Hallam and Kristan attended to us on the beach and throughout the day. I did the majority of our coordination in advance of the trip with Amanda - she was amazing with helping with everything from meal reservations to suggesting a wonderful catamaran cruise around the island. This was a truly special experience and we cannot wait to return to the Lone Star!

Well it's not a secret any more. We used to come here before the renovation a few years back, and it's just as lovely. The service is first class. The rooms are all directly on the beach, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Small touches like sheer drapes for privacy from our deck make everything just perfect. And the restaurant is divine - for our 5 day stay, we only left for one meal.

This small beach front hotel is great for a stay and better yet as the Lone Star Restaurant has a great menu to select from. Once a garage which gave its name to this spot it works very well for an island retreat with easy options close by, give it a try and see for your self,
