My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Riad Dar Zitoune as part of a Trip-a-Deal tour of Morocco. We weren't expecting such a great place to stay. The quality of the accommodation and food, the professionalism of the staff, the wonderful fruit trees planted throughout the grounds: all first class. Morocco has many hidden gems throughout...

Dar Zitoune is one of my favourite hotels in southern Morocco. It's a little oasis just outside the dusty town of Taroudant, and provides a great retreat from the hustle and bustle. The gardens are beautiful, rooms well appointed, staff excellent and the food a wonderful change from the standard Moroccan selection. Could easily spend a couple of days here...

I took a friend her for dinner to celebrate her birthday. We had been in Morocco travelling overland for 2.5 weeks. After 3 nights in Taroudant I had a craving for European food. We had a drink in the lovely garden followed by a delicious dinner of pasta dishes. The food outranked many pasta dishes eaten in the past on...

My favourite hotel in Taroudant. ! I always stay here on my way to my business near Aoulouz. The staff are friendly and accommodating (early, early morning breakfasts if needed). Rooms always clean and inviting . I love the shower 's ability to wash away the grime and troubles of the day.. I unreservedly recommend this hotel.

Excellent accommodation, food and service, with a beautiful garden and pools and the historic walled town of Taroudant a short distance away. A good base for visiting the Atlas mountains and the Sahara.

This is the first time we have been here in the winter and did not know what to expect. We need not have worried. The weather was warm during the day, so much so that we spent most of our time sitting by the pool reading and soaking up the sun. It did start to get cool about 4 o'clock...

We had Suite 18, it was perfect. 3 adjoining rooms with a real log Fire for cool winter nights. Beautifully furnished. Robes, slippers, mini bar, heater. Little patio area with table and chairs. The setting is sublime, Moroccan style bungalows in a scented garden. The big swimming pool is splendid but chilly in December. The smaller heated pool was bliss....

This hotel has a gorgeous setting; the grounds are lovely gardens, the rooms/villas are pretty and have luxurious bathrooms. However, our room had several large cockroaches in it that we killed immediately when we checked in. We thought they were taken care of, and throughout the night we noticed several more small ones. For comparison, in our three weeks in...

After a five hour journey from Essaouria, the Hotel Dar Zitoune was a welcome sight, as was the welcome. The cabine we stayed in was in a quiet part the well tended garden in amongst the lemon and orange trees. The attentive staff, from front of house to back were excellent and the food was very good.
