I visited Code Samui with three other friends for 7 nights and we were all so impressed with the kindness and generosity of the staff, as well as the location, cleanliness and views from our rooms! All staff go above and beyond to make sure you are well looked after and content with the service. Everyone was very friendly and would always say hello.
The buffet breakfast was the best I’ve ever seen in my life- plentiful delicious and fresh foods for a good start to the day. Ala carte style and buffet. The waiters were always smiling and looked after us well. We also did the cooking class with the chefs of the vanilla restaurant which was a lot of fun. The chefs were very friendly and made it very enjoyable! The food was delicious, will definitely be giving the recipes a try at home.
There was a complimentary shuttle that drove us 5 minutes down the steep hill to get to the beach,7/11 and local restaurants which was very convenient.
Reception staff were kind, welcoming and easy to communicate with, they booked our tours and car rental with no problems.
We also used the cinnamon spa- the ladies were lovely and we always felt relaxed with a cup of tea after the massage.
We made good use of the infinity pool which had complimentary drinking water and towels provided. The view from the pool was incredible, overlooking the beach and mountains. Our room had the same outlook but from a bit higher up. What a view to wake up to every morning! Rooms were kept clean and we were provided with fresh towels each day.
Overall, my friends and I were all very impressed with the hotel and staff, and would recommend to friends/family and would visit again! Thank you for making our Koh Samui trip wonderful!

We have been visiting Koh Samui for many years and for the first time we stayed at Code Hotel for 3 weeks. It was the best accommodation we have had so far on the island for the following reasons: The team from the reception (Nune, Kung and Mike) gave us a warm welcome and were always available with advice and assistance (booking, arrival, renting scooters/car, etc.) All rooms are very large, equipped with a small kitchen, super clean and have an overwhelming view of the sea. Free parking is plentiful on 2 parking decks, there are massage/yoga services, sauna, jacuzzi and a gym on site. The food at the hotel was exceptionally tasty and our wonderful cocktail artist Lay provided us with perfect service all around. Overall, the entire restaurant team wowed us, Som and Rung were exceptionally friendly, had a sense of humor and were very service oriented. Breakfast was always delicious as well as sufficient. Also to be mentioned is the great pool, a pool to swim in and not just stand in, nice and cool and refreshing. The whole complex is characterized by extreme cleanliness, the diligent gardener is active from early to late in the outdoor facilities. All in all, it was an exceptionally beautiful and super relaxing stay, thanks to all! We will be happy to come back.

We stayed for 7 nights as a couple. All in all we were very satisfied. The rooms are very spacious, quiet and clean. The outside area is very well maintained and you can spend a lot of time at the pool. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. We were allowed to stay an hour longer in the room on request on the day of checkout, which was very pleasant.
Unfortunately, I still have to deduct one star because we were not completely satisfied with the breakfast. When I was in the code for the first time in 2016, there was still a breakfast buffet and you could eat your fill. Meanwhile, an a la carte breakfast is served, where you can choose one single dish. The portions are unfortunately ridiculously small, so that one is not even close to being full, which other guests in our presence have also criticized. Not even my girlfriend (55 kg) was full. For these tiny portions, the prices are really a cheek. For that money, you can get 3 people full at one of the local food markets!
The second point of criticism concerns the gym. I used it daily and was very happy with the equipment and cleanliness. Unfortunately, half the days there were no towels, no water or no drinking cups for the water dispenser. Of course, this is not a big problem, but given the high prices that the hotel calls, you should expect more… However, we still liked it very much and we would come again!

We stayed in this hotel in a penthouse suite for more than a week.It is located up on a steep flank of a hill and by this you will have a stunning on the sea and the other islands from each room, the nice infinity pool and the restaurant. There is a broad breakfast selection which is served by an always friendly, attentive and smiling staff which is a key factor in this hotel.
However, not everything seems to be really thought through:
1) Even built on the flank of the hill there is no elevator in the building meaning up/down from parking around 90 stairs, from restaurant 80 stairs, from pool 70 stairs to penthouse floor.
2) Our penthouse suite was dominated (!) by
a big white lounge which makes it impossible to place the suitcases in the room. In addition the formerly white lounge is meanwhile aged, has many black/grey spots and stripes and consequently should be replaced.
3) The seize of the bathroom is a joke and reminded me of one in a student‘s apartment.
The small shower with no door to close is combined with one mini sink and there is no space to place the cosmetic and bathroom stuff. Only 1 person can enter the bathroom, if second person comes in you need to make the limbo.
4) While the good food in the restaurant was served by the always friendly staff, the drinks were a disaster. There is only one guy who really knows about making cocktails (even then just a minimum of alcohol), the other stuff definitely needs training in this area considering the prices that are charged for the drinks.

Summarized: Code is a nice hotel with breathtaking views, however, probably more focused on design than on the real needs of their guests. Also we could not find the „uber-chic luxury“ promised in their advertisement.

Great Service and good value for money but please fix wash table, replace used (older) white couch and be a little bit more “carefull“ with cleaning of glass doors (bathroom). During our stay other guests also had issues with the AC.

The pictures on the webside are a little bit to nice in this respect..
However we relaxed well on Koh Samui.

Tables at the beach club were offered only with minimum consumption. Future guests should be prepared to pay also for the shuttle service to the promoted beach club which might not be obvious on the webside and during reservation.

Approximately 2 years ago my wife and I spent 5 great nights at CODE in Koh Samui, Thailand. We were returning to this wonderful island in March of this year and on January 26, 2020 we booked 4 nights at Code starting March 18th. Our booking stating that we could cancel our reservations up to 14 days prior to our check in date, meaning we had until March 4, 2020 to cancel and receive a full refund less some minor processing fees. In mid February my wife experienced a severe kidney condition which required several procedures over an extended period to correct her condition. Since our trip started March 3rd, it was obvious that it had to be canceled.
On February 20th I sent an email to the General Manager at Code named Max advising that I must cancel. On February 23 Max responded that my refund would be issued and it would take 2-4 weeks to be applied to my credit account.
When I did not receive my credit after 30 days, I contacted Code and was told that they would not be issuing my refund but offered a resort credit. Being in my mid seventies and not sure if I ever want to fly again due to the Covid19 virus, I had no idea if I would return to Thailand. I refused and created a dispute through my credit card company. It took almost 4 additional months for this claim to be processed and today I received notice that Citi Bank has reversed the charge and I now have a permanent credit issued to my account for the amount paid.
While I have sympathy for the hardships all resorts are having due to the Covid19 virus, it is not a reason to change a refund policy after a booking was paid. In the USA what Code did would be considered illegal.

This hotel located on the hill which offers Bang Por beach viewpoint. We stayed in One Bedroom Penthouse Suit on the 4th floor. Please note that there is no elevator here so you need to walk up the stairs if you book the room high floor. Good to do exercise I think. The view is breathtaking with coconut trees and sea view but a bit roof view below. The room looks a bit old but still in good condition. One thing that really annoys me is the arrangement of things in the room which make the room smaller than its actual size and feel uncomfortable while walking between bedroom and living room zone. (The TV can be moved to another position and the sitting area outside can have only one). The staff is very helpful. The pool is pleasurable.

Our stay at Code was extremely enjoyable. Not only was the hotel beautiful and comfortable, but the staff were very accommodating and kind. Our room was spacious with amazing views. Everyday we were greeted by the restaurant and reception staff with a smile, and were impressed with the food at breakfast. The shuttle offered from the hotel to the local 7/11 at the bottom of the road was great and always helpful. We loved that Code was tucked away in the mountains as it offered a great view of the beach and allowed for relaxation by the pool. Thank you so much for such a great stay.

You must leave the curtains open when going to bed because when you wake up in the morning the view is stunning of the blue sea and the silhouette of Koh phangan island in the background.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast did not have the wide choice as the buffet i had when i stayed a few years back but all the hotels i have stayed in recently do not have a buffet anymore but, there was enough choice from eggs and bacon to healthy options and Thai favorites.
Code does have its own beach club ( Chi) but you have to get the complimentary mini bus and takes about 15 minuetes which is a small inconvenience for what you find when you get their, I went in the evening for dinner and the food was top class. They had a singer and a DJ but you can spend the day there in a fabulously designed setting, i am told they have a DJ in the afternoons as well.
i had a great time and will be back at code again sometime in the future

At Code, they take your comfort and happiness very seriously. The staff offer efficient, warm and heartfelt hospitality. The front of house and Nun deserve a special mention: anything we needed , from booking cabs, ferries, restaurants, car hire etc was organised smoothly and with a smile. Nun even took my husband down to the pharmacy on her own bike when the shuttle was busy!

On the hotel front: the breakfasts are excellent, as is the food generally. Cleaning staff do a great job and kept the room immaculate.
All rooms have a spectacular view of the sea, which is a 5 m shuttle away. I would also recommend going the Chi Beach Club , also owned by same small group to hang out for the day( see separate review). The spa also is great - I had an excellent massage treatment.

Max, the charming GM, clearly runs a happy team. Well done - we really loved our stay and felt sad to leave.

Thank you and see you again!

I do not like massages but did use the spa for pedicure. They do different types of massages and have a jacuzzi and steam room. Do not think they hire push bikes and think the hill would be too steep for a bike. They have motor bikes for hire and also have cars they take you to the beach in and you can ring them to pick you up when ready to come back.

Code is not located directly to the beach, we have a shuttle bus that drive you to the beach all day long. Also you can enjoy our private beach club Chi we have 3 daily shuttle bus to go and get picked up @ Chi samui

The hotel shuttle bus will take you down the hill to the beach where there are a selection of restaurants. It will also bring you to the beach club which has a very nice restaurant, these two trips are free. If you want to go to for example Fisherman's Wharf, the shuttle bus will bring you however there is a charge for these trips.

We did rent a car for a day. Unfortunately, I don't recall the cost, but, I do remember that it was reasonable. Yes, automatics are available, and the one I rented was an automatic. It can be hired on a daily hire basis. The hotel's free shuttle service takes you to Chi Beach Club and gets you back as well - it is a complimentary service. We availed it during our stay.

At the ground floor, where you disembark, you have the front desk, and a number of facilities, such as the spa, Jacuzzi, steam room, etc. The rooms and the restaurant are on the first floor, after you climb a flight of stairs. The infinity pool is also at this level. Thereafter, there are a couple of levels of rooms, if I remember correctly. Yes, there are stairs, and no lift, so, the hotel seems to meet your expectations on this front. Hope this helps. Cheers and have a great time!
