The hotel is very pleasant and a few minutes walk away from Disneyland. The breakfast is average but I believe that it's something cultural since other Disney hotels lack the same quality and offer. The indoor pool is a great choice for relaxing after a day in Disney. The staff is very friendly.

The hotel looks nice and fancy and well located with good bus service to the entertainment Disney parks. It also has a free parking which is great for those using a car. However the rooms are very basic. AC was not working and took several phone calls and follow ups but eventually fixed. All in all nice and comfy. Breakfast was great but too expensive as it wasn’t included in the price of the room. Every time you want to enter the hotel you have to have your bag checked through a scanner and you as well.

This hotel was not worth the 369€ a night. What a disappointment! The room was no better than a Holiday Inn from the states or an Ibis hotel in Europe. The room was small and old. The bathroom had an odor to it and was also not worth the cost of the room. Overall i won’t be staying here again.

We got upgraded because our hotel wasn't open yet. Check in was easy and efficient. However many services weren't available or had limited hours due to Covid. I get that but some communication would be great. We had a meal plan but it wasn't clear how many meals you would get. We ended up walking out of one place because the meal wasn't covered. It would be nice if someone told us "a three day two night visit with half board entitles you to two meals, not three". Not the end of the world. The room was good but the hotel could have been spruced up a bit since it was closed for so long. Breakfast was chaos and I think an grab and go option would have been a good addition. We ended up skipping it the second day and ate some muffins. The ice maker on our floor wasn't working which isn't a big deal but I did discover a coffer/tea machine that you could use your magic card since it had a daily allowance. No where was this mentioned. The staff either did the bare minimum or went out of their way to help you. No in between. All in all I think they tried their best and I can't blame anyone. If the half or full board is not included in the price I would say skip it. There are cheaper tastier options

We were unsure about staying at Newport Bay Hotel because of the many COVID related issues and also because we thought that the hotel could by now show signs of aging: our first visit was more than 10 years ago. We could not be more wrong!! The building itself and the resort grounds are elegant and well maintained; I am writing from our bedroom ,which we very pleased about: fifth floor in the main building ,with a balcony overlooking gardens and woods.  The room has been recently renovated, nice decors and immaculate beds. Bathroom is completely new, with enough space for two people to get ready in the same time. Due to Covid restrictions, housekeeping is not going to service room during your whole staying - unless requested, which is fine for us during this peculiar time. It’s worth noting that, when we need new clean towels or toiletries (very CUTE !!) ,someone from housekeeping has always delivered them just in few minutes after our phone call. Be aware though that staff members are  very kind ,but somehow inconsistent, maybe it's because the hotel has just been opened. Another caveat: be prepared for long lines for everything, we are glad we booked through Expedia without breakfast included: when we head to the parks in the morning, the long line for breakfast looks like a snake extending from elevators through the large reception area and down a couple of stairs.  Much better to grab a croissant on the way to the park.  Be sure to make reservations well in advance for restaurants in the parks and at the hotels. Purell sanitation stations are everywhere at Newport Bay Hotel and everybody wears a face mask, indoors and outside, as well as in both Disney parks. We are feeling very comfortable and safe,besides having a lot of fun.
