We have just returned from Disney and stayed a the newly refurbished DLH. Honestly we were anxious after reading the many negative comments but we shouldn't have been! Our stay was amazing. There were a couple of minor teething problems in the hotel but they were being sorted out - nothing to impact us. We had a deluxe room that was Cinderella themed and it was stunning. We had everything we needed for the whole stay. The D lounge was great for breakfast and snacks and we ate in the Royal Banquet for dinner every night - plenty of variety and lots of character interaction. We tried the pool and had a facial ar the Clarins Spa. The staff were fab and all so polite and helpful. Here is the all important bit.....no queues and no masses of non quests!!! It was all great. Our only complaint was we didn't get the turn down service any night of our stay. I spoke to the housekeeping manager about this and he sent up a gift bag by way of apology - a large royal Mickey, leather card wallet, DLH pins and the story books. Absolutely lovely. The parks were amazing and we did all of the rides (except BTM as it is closed). The drone show and fireworks were magical. All in all we had a great trip and it was made even more special by staying at the DLH. We have stayed previously in all of the onsite hotels except this one and now will always stay here. Is it worth the price tag? Absolutely it is and so worth saving for. Thanks DLH we cannot wait to be back x

Dear l0uiseth0mas, Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent stay at the Disneyland Hotel. We strive to provide our guests with the most exceptional service to provide an unforgetable stay, your comments are extremely important to us and we note that the turn down service wasn't provided but that a solution was found at the hotel. We're pleased that you enjoyed the Deluxe room & services, especially the private Deluxe Lounge for breakfast and snacks. We're glad that you had the chance to try the Disneyland Hotel Spa by Clarins. We will pass your message along to our employees. Thank you for being our guest at the recently reimagined Disneyland Hotel, we cannot wait to share more royal stories with you in the future. We were there for the re-opening of the Disneyland Hotel and overall had a good stay - however unfortunately our experience did not reflect the 5 star rating or the cost involved. Read on to see why .... Positives: 1. Hotel location close to the Main Park, 3 . Abundance of characters (both princesses and Mickey/Minnie etc), 4. The Deluxe Lounge provided an oasis of calm and food/drink offerings, 5. Staff were mostly friendly and attentive, 2. Beautifully decorated rooms (we were in a Deluxe room), 6. Our luggage was transferred from the New York - Art of Marvel Hotel without any issues. 7. The hotel has been stunningly decorated and has very detailed theming. 8. We ate in the Royal Banquet for dinner and found the food very good. The service we had from our female server was second to none. Negatives: 1. Our mini bar was supposed to provide a number of snacks and drinks, but only had two bottles of water. We didn't realise we were missing items until we arrived home and watched other peoples vlogs on YouTube. 2. Towels, and toilet paper were not replenished by housekeeping after our first night - although they managed to take all our original towels away, leaving us with none at all. Our bed looked as if it had been laid on by someone which was very strange. 3. Empty water bottles were left in the fridge. I've since found out that Housekeeping does not replenish the water - which is ridiculous in a 5 star hotel. Even the Hotel New York - Art of Marvel replenishes water on a daily basis so it seems odd that the Disneyland Hotel does not do this. 4. At breakfast in the Deluxe Lounge we had a member of staff stand very close to us and she watched us eat for the duration of our meal. This felt very intrusive and unnecessary - not relaxing at all. Who wants to be watched while they eat? 5. We notice that some Deluxe guests seems to have received chocolates in their room, but we did not. We're not sure if this should have been an included offering for the room type. 6. We wanted to buy the Disneyland Hotel Clock Tower model, however it was not available to buy over the opening of the hotel which was disappointing. Since then we notice that this is being sold on eBay for triple the price by someone who has managed to get hold of 14 of them! This is interesting when there is supposed to be a limit on this item of 2 per guest. So, with all this being said, would we stay there again? Yes - we have booked a future stay in December this year hoping that the issues we had are teething problems and that the hotel management succeeds in sorting out these issues for future customers. They need to if they are to truly be able to say that this is a 5 star hotel!

Our experience in the heart of the hotel was truly extraordinary. The location is magnificent, close to the park and our room had an unobstructed view of the surrounding area of Disneyland Paris. The breakfast was good and my daughter's transformation in the boutique was wonderful. The only faults for us were the reception, the waiting time for our room and the price of the banquet, which was too high. The big positive was seeing my daughter do a dance competition with Fabrice, who was adorable in his role. She talked about it all evening and it was her best memory of the stay. Thank you for everything you did to make this stay unforgettable and thank you again for the attention you paid to our children.

Booked a 4 night stay for my daughter’s birthday, special trip and for the hotels grand re opening! Was wowed by the decor , but after that the the little touches and service got worse and worse! Check in took ages even thought already checked in on app. Lobby over crowded with no guests , not what you want when paying the prices for this hotel!! Room not ready until after 5pm ! Really bad for a 5* Booked my daughter a princess make over in the boutique she was rushed by the shop assistant to pick her dress and the lady was rude and not magical at all, not a cheap experience and shouldn’t be made to rush! Breakfast in the royal buffet is bad, not much hot food , empty trays , chefs standing around not helpful . Nobody speaks English so carnt ask for eggs etc. Staff not friendly to the children , when asking for coffee etc seems like a hassle for them. Restaurants in the hotel were always fully booked and so difficult to get in surely being a guest they should try to be more accommodating! Swimming pool cold and the hot tub is one in one out , couldn’t even go in with my family! Had to keep ringing to ask for room to be cleaned and serviced no new water bottles after day one! So bad for a 5 star hotel! Asked for an invoice when checked out said didn’t do them, which is terrible cos now I’m home I have charges on my card I don’t know what they are. Needed an invoice to cross ref. Hotel used to have 5 stay service now it’s a 3 star! Only positive is the location Hotel doesn’t warrant its cost!

I’ve noticed a lot of really bad reviews about this hotel so I just wanted to write about my experience to ease anyone’s mind who has a stay booked in the near future. Staying at the Disneyland hotel felt really special. It’s a beautiful hotel and the rooms have been decorated really nicely. The pool area is lovely and the Royal Banquet character lunch was a lot of fun. The proximity to the park is just so ideal. It feels magical stepping outside the hotel doors and straight into the park. Having said that, we did experience some problems like having to go and find our luggage after an hours wait because they were overwhelmed and didn’t have the staff to deliver everyone’s bag to their room promptly. We also had an occasion in the bar where 4 members of staff were standing around doing nothing and I had to eventually go up to them and ask if we could order a drink. Neither experience I expect in a 5 star hotel and definitely not for the price you pay to stay there. But in terms of people’s reviews stating ‘it’s the worst hotel they’ve ever stayed in’ etc, please don’t be put off. There are definitely problems that need to be resolved but the hotel hasn’t lost its magic. There’s just some work to be done which hopefully they will resolve quickly.

I hate to say it but it’s a comfort seeing the bad reviews on here. We had a terrible stay also so I’m glad to know it wasn’t just us but rather the hotel in general. I’m sad that we had such a bad experience as we were all so looking forward to staying here, and paid a LOT of money to do so. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. But the service was shocking. Like everyone else we experienced long waits, rude cast members, room not ready at 4.30pm, housekeeping not done until 6pm, nothing in the room restocked when housekeeping finally arrived, missing items from the rooms (robes, mugs etc). We waited almost 3 hours (and 3 phone calls) for TOILET PAPER to be delivered after not being restocked. It’s sad because this hotel has so much potential and they’ve really let themselves down with the service (or lack of) that they’re providing. I’d recommend you spend your money elsewhere and have a much higher quality stay.

The location of the Disneyland Hotel is almost worth the cost alone. Added to that the magical decor, atmosphere and beautiful comfortable rooms led to my 4 star rating. What lost it that 5/5 was three negatives: first, our room wasn’t ready by near 5pm and when we finally found it (we weren’t accompanied to it) house keeping were still inside preparing it; secondly, the food choices in Royal Banquet and Princesses around the common areas did not match those shown in vlog/adverts from first couple of opening weeks and most importantly the exclusive merchandise were mostly unavailable or hidden behind counters needing to be asked about. The only cast member who didn’t meet the 5 star criteria was one in the shop who told her colleague in French she could not get us a Mickey Plush from the back. To add insult to injury when I asked her the next day she again gave a story of how she sold the last one to a woman in front when I knew they had stock in the back.

we had a great stay here and I am surprised reading the negative reviews at how different it could be from our stay at a similar time. The hotel is very beautifully decorated with lots of lovely finishing touches, definitely a wow every time you walk through the doors. We had a superior room which was nicely decorated and very comfortable to stay in. It was good that the drinks in the fridge on arrival were complementary - however I would have expected the water to be restocked daily at least and it wasn’t. I’d recommend checking in online via the app before you get to the hotel to speed up the check in process. Even considering we’d already checked in, it took some time for us to queue to get our room number. The check in process is definitely something that needs to be improved. The Royal Banquet room for breakfast and lunch was very impressive, with lovely decor and a great view. We managed to sit in a different part every time which was lovely to get different perspectives. The character dining was amazing. Minnie, Mickey, Donald and Daisy all come to your table multiple times a sitting which is very special and great for the children. You can book a Royal Encounter on the app which is a photo opportunity with one of the Disney princesses. We booked this 3 times during our stay and it was a great way to meet characters and have a photo without queuing. The adhoc entertainment in the lobby was also really appreciated and enjoyed by the children. The staff we encountered were so friendly and could not do enough for you. Most were interactive with our children and made the experience very pleasant. I did notice that there was a queue for non guests to enter to look inside the hotel. Guests can obviously bypass this and go straight in however I am not sure if the hotel should let people do this as it is potentially adding to an already busy environment and you want your stay to feel exclusive. I did go to the hotel shop to purchase a royal Mickey soft toy however unfortunately these had sold out. This was disappointing so I have emailed the hotel to ask if I could purchase once restocked. Just waiting on their reply. Lastly the location to the Disney parks is brilliant. It’s a stone throw away and so the views you get of the castle and park from inside the hotel is great. We travelled with a baby as well as a 4 yr old so the proximity was very much appreciated when they were tired and we needed to get back to the room quickly.

Beautiful hotel, a lot of luxury style focusing on princesses (with castle). Personally I preferred the old disney hotel ambience. Didn’t felt it as a disney hotel, yes princesses were around but personally i think is missing the disney “magic” should chance the name then to royalty hotel or similar, as it lacks of basic disney characters. Besides that service excellent. Rooms with few solving issues (just reopened). And they need to work for an alternate entrance to the park as it was before, instead of walking the whole hotel to the main entrance and exit to the park which is non sense already making walking lines on the park to do the same at the resting place. In general and personally rate 7/10, great for girls and princesses fans tough.

Staying at this hotel has always been a bit of a dream of mine, so decided to go for it after the renovation. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, so elegant, pristine and spotlessly clean. We stayed in a superior room overlooking the gardens which again we couldn’t fault. The staff were all wonderfully helpful and looked like they genuinely wanted to be there (bar one grumpy lady seating people at breakfast). Check in was prompt and we didn’t mind coming back for our room. We decided to collect and take our own luggage up to room once it was ready as I’d already heard people were having to wait over an hour for it to be brought up and having to phone down multiple times. We ate at both restaurants with a view of the castle and fireworks from both tables which was magical, although even with this and the character interactions, these restaurants were crazily priced and I don’t think we would eat there again because of this. Food was nice in both restaurants but as I said, price is just too silly to ever be tempted to do it again. Breakfast was less of a pleasant experience having to wait nearly 20 mins to be seated by a rather surly looking woman. The food was good though and lots of variety. The exclusive entrance into the park for hotel guests was fab, no queue, literally just walk in! Loved the royal encounter with a Princess each day too, my girls were in heaven! The second day of our visit they opened up the hotel to non-residents. It was noticeably busier from then on and did unfortunately make take a lot away from magical and exclusive experience. The lobby, corridors, shop and bar were all rammed with people who’d come in to wander around. Not really fair when you consider the amount of money guests have paid to stay there, shouldn’t be having to navigate your way through crowds. Check out was quick but there is some kind of block on the location allowing bolt or Uber to pick up from the hotel. The hotel staff kindly offered us a free lift to the station where we could get one, a very nice touch. All in all a wonderful hotel and just so convenient after a day in the parks. Would definitely stay again and would find it hard to stay anywhere else now in Disneyland Paris having experienced it!!
