I couldn't recommend this place enough! After a week in Rome it was the perfect way to unwind and get away from the busy city center. The views were gorgeous and picturesque. The best part about the place are definitely Francesco and Linda, SO polite and welcoming. Francesco is a marvelous chef and you can see him hand prepare pasta in the morning and make dinner in the evenings. Absolutely wonderful. And they make their own wine and olive oil!

Spent two nights and enjoyed two delicious dinners at this lovely place in the Tuscan countryside. The scenery is gorgeous, the hospitality is fantastic, and the smiles will be abundant. Florence is reachable by bus or train if you want to go into the city, but just enjoying the area also makes for a delightful time.

Some of the nicest owners I've ever met. They cooked us incredible 3-course meals for dinner with home-made ingredients. The appetizers themselves seemed like they were going to be an entire meal until we got to the main courses. Each morning, there was also an incredible brunch.

Gorgeous location, in the typical Tuscan hills, away from the stress of the city and of traveling. Very friendly hosts who are also fantastic cooks and just lovely people to chat with. Would return and recommend in a heartbeat.

We had the treat of enjoying Sunday brunch here two weeks ago. Even though it was a rainy Sunday, it was a pleasure to enjoy the drive up to the farm. The brunch food, prepared by Francesco, was excellent - everything from the freshly squeezed orange juice to the fresh eggs, meats, and desserts (hazelnut cake) was delicious. The seating is family style in a beautiful, rustic room. One of the best memories of our trip to Italy - Thank you Francesco, Guia, and Diego!

My wife and I (early to mid 50s) stayed here for 10 days in September 2012. We found the rental on the net, and we were generally well-satisfied with our stay.
The plus points:
- Good location about 20 km from Florence, 15 auto minutes from the train station in Pontassieve.
- Very quiet; good beds (we are often sensitive to beds that are too soft or too hard, these were a Goldilocks-like "just right"
- The balcony had a beautiful view over vineyards and olive groves.
- The kitchen was equipped with a toaster, a gas stove/oven (we've rarely had an oven in a vacation rental), a dishwasher and a hot pot.
- Everything was clean; there were ample towels.
- The agriturismo has a (non-heated) swimming pool with a nice lawn area around the pool.
- The restaurant (open irregularly in September) serverd a very good three course menu on the Saturday we arrived; we were not as happy with the meal we had a few days later (but it wasn't bad).

Neutral/Negative:

- The main room of our unit (La Terrazza) didn't have a couch. The Satellite TV only had Italian and French programs (but we didn't care much).
- The furnishings were a bit rustical (but functional). I guess that's why it's an agriturismo.
- A few things didn't quite work right - burned out light bulb, toilet paper holder fell out of the wall.
- I felt for a 10-day stay they could have given us fresh towels halfway through.
- We got eaten alive by mosquitos - but that would have likely happened anywhere in the area!

On the whole we were quite happy - you should be too as long as you don't expect luxury. The Fattoria sells its own (prize winning) olive oil and wine for reasonable prices.

We are a Danish couple who got married in Tuscany in July 2018. We and our family and friends enjoyed a truly wonderful wedding dinner at Francesco and Guia's cosy restaurant Il Peraccio.
The restaurant is set in beautiful surroundings, and the menu was authentically Tuscan all the way though endless amounts of fantastic dishes. Cozy and welcoming.
Guia and Francesco are great hosts and made our wedding at their restaurent an unforgettable evening. The food was absolutely fantastic... including Florentine steak made over charchoal was the best we ever had. Francesco is a very skilled cook, this in combination with Guia and the staff serving and taking care of all our guests, making sure that everybody had a wonderful evening.

During our 2 week holiday we had lunch and dinner several times at Il Peraccio, and every time we were treated with deligthful dishes and enjoyed Francesco and Guai's hospitality.

We will definitely come back!!

Fattoria II Peraccio is exactly the type of a place that defines what Tuscany is all about. Rustic but well appointed rooms, gorgeous views of rolling hills with wineries and olive trees as far as the ye can see - there are very few places in the world that are this beautiful. If you can't relax here, you won't be able to relax anywhere. The villa is located about 25 minutes away from Florence and it was a great "home base" for us to explore Tuscany, Pisa, San Gimigano and Siena. Coming back to the villa after a full day of "touristy" stuff was exactly what we needed - the serenity and the calmness would recharge our batteries and get us ready for another full day of exploration. What added to the charm of this place was the incredible hospitality of Linda and Francesco - they really go out of their way to welcome you as if you are part of their family. My only regret is that I missed out on Francesco's cooking - judging by the other reviews it is sublime. We hope to be back!

Arriving in Il Peraccio really feels like coming home. The beautiful, relaxing setting of the small castle-like building and ancient farm offers typical Tuscan apartments, with traditional furniture and decorative elements. Furthermore, Francesco is a great chef, preparing wonderful meals using the vegetables from his garden, wine from his vineyard and is a connoisseur of olive oil. But more than just a nice accommodation with excellent "table de hôte", the owner and his assistants are absolutely great people. They are professional, friendly and make sure a perfect stay is awaiting their guests. When we arrived, it became clear the agency who had rented us the accommodation, had made a big mistake, but Francesco and Linda immediately solved the problem, putting in a huge effort. The result: we had a fabulous time and enjoyed every minute of our holiday. We will remember our stay as one of the nicest of all the trips we made to Italy.

My husband, myself, and our 3 children (ages 1-4) stayed here for 8 days in August 2013 in the apartment "Gavino", a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and 1 bathroom, and we had a wonderful time. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, Francesco, who showed us to our apartment, where a bottle of Il Peraccio's wine, their olive oil, and several of their homemade jams were waiting for us, along with butter, milk, and toasts. We had requested two cribs and two high chairs when we booked the apartment, and these were all set up in the apartment, ready for use.
The surrounding farm is composed of beautiful rolling hills of olive trees and vineyards, with a few fruit/nut trees, a vegetable garden and a chicken coop (a big hit with my son who was looking forward to seeing some farm animals). The pool area next to the apartments has ample seating, a barbecue area, and an infinity pool overlooking the farm and the valley below. Beds in our apartment were comfortable, and there was furniture to hang up/put away clothes. Our kitchen included a refrigerator, oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher, sink, stovetop espresso maker and hot water kettle, as well as a dining table and chairs. All furnishings were rustic, but clean and quite functional. The only downside to the apartment was a lack of a sofa and bathtub (the bathroom included a small shower stall with foldaway walls). There is a washing machine available for use, but no clothes dryer (outdoor drying racks are provided).
The owner, Francesco, and his secretary, Laura, were friendly and helpful throughout our stay (especially Laura, who helped us out greatly when we needed information from our car rental agency). Francesco is also a chef, and offers dinners for guests almost every night. The menus for the week are posted outside the office and you can sign up for whichever nights you wish. We had his special dinner on feragosto (August 15th), and we were not disappointed. It included home made salumi, a pasta course, Fiorentine steak (a huge portion), several salads, and a fruit tart, along with lots of their own red wine.
Il Peraccio is ideally situated for exploring central and eastern Tuscany. It is a short drive away from Pontassieve (where there is a huge Unicoop supermarket) and then a 20 minute train ride into Florence. We also took day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, and the Chianti towns using our car.
There was a mix of young couples and families staying at the farm at the time, and most people were quite friendly.
The only downsides to our stay was a tempermental internet connection (although this is not necessarily a bad thing when on vacation), the mosquitoes (I think this is a problem in all of Tuscany during the summer) and the presence of many bees near the pool. These were minor inconveniences.
We had a wonderful time at Il Peraccio and highly recommend it to others.
