The Le Balze di Fontisterni farmhouse is located about 20 km east of Florence, in the Valdarno. It is a true oasis, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and lush woods. An adorable place in the middle of the Florentine hills. Immersed in winding green hills, the farmhouse offers a large swimming pool from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view and relax. The farmhouse has two bedrooms - which can sleep two each - a studio - which can sleep a couple and a child and a large kitchen - which can sleep two on a comfortable sofa bed.

Amazing food, fantastic hosts and beautiful countryside. As you eat your wonderfully prepared, locally sourced meal while the sun sets over the olive tree and vineyard studded Tuscan hills, it is impossible to feel any other than all is profoundly right with the world. If you are sharing the meals with some of your favorite people, with your dogs curled up under the table after a day of sightseeing in Florence, so much the better. Life is good here.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay. Tom and Nikki are fantastic, welcoming hosts that made us feel right at home. They are very passionate about providing a true Tuscan experience. The food was amazing, cooked especially for our specific (vegan) needs with the ingredients 100% locally sourced. We will definitely be back!

The setting is beautiful and the accommodation was very comfortable and quiet. The view from the house is spectacular. The food was outstanding. It was a pleasure to get back from a busy and hot day in Florence to the relaxing setting and wonderfully cool swim in the lovely pool.

This is my second trip here and it won’t be my last. It is a charming location with great views, a beautiful pool and top-class food. Tom, Nicky and Sammy are delightful people and excellent hosts. We ate well, took walks in the country and played in the pool. What a super relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.

Immerso nelle colline toscane, il podere le balze è proprio un angolo di paradiso! Abbiamo passato un bellissimo pomeriggio in piscina con aperitivo. La grande piscina è ad uso esclusivo degli ospiti che soggiornano. Noi non abbiamo soggiornato ma non essendoci ospiti abbiamo potuto godere della piscina completamente da soli! Super consigliato
