We loved this B&B, not least because of the warm welcome from our hostess, Mairie Mazieres. She is a lovely lady and a good artist, and her Conversation (in faultless English) is interesting and informative.

Our room was spacious and furnished with antiques, and there was very good soap in the shower room and separate toilet. the bed was good, and delighted Graham because it was large enough for his 6'3" length.

Mairie booked us into a wonderful restaurant five minutes away, and we then explored her lovely garden.

An extensive Continental breakfast with 5 home made preserves as well as ham, cheese, good bread and croissants.
(Why is it that British hosts abroad are so mean with their breakfasts? (Except one or two who have received good reviews).)

Altogether - this is a place we very much hope to go back to. Excellent value.

Good sized clean rooms, two on the ground floor with patio, table & chairs at the front (nice to enjoy a glass of wine outside at the end of a day!) and one upstairs. The view is lovely and it is very quiet.
To find the house, plug into your stanav Sorges as the town and La Greulie as the street and it should drop you off at the front gate at the end of a single track lane. There is plenty of free parking.
The wifi works well and there is a kettle, mugs and some tea in the room.
A delicious French Breakfast is provided with fresh bread, homemade preserves, and a homemade cake or delight.
The proprietors are lovely and helpful (the lady speaks good English).
There is a lovely up-market restaurant in Sorges called Auberge de la Truffe (www. auberge-de-la-truffe.com).
You pay with cash.
Highly recommended.
