Very pleasant stay in a very nice lodge. Friendly staff. Made well use of their 'honesty bar', restaurants all around the lodge and a good place to stay if you are travelling through as it is just 1 km from the main road.

So glad we chose to stay here on our route during our recent holiday from UK. The Guest Lodge was very convenient with lots to do in the area and we were made very welcome by the nice Dutch lady owner. The staff were very helpful showing us to our room which was very well appointed with a nice outlook....

we had a really nice and spacious room. all the rooms are on the first floor and you have a nice balcony. there's a little pool in the backyard and next to the guesthouse is a very good bistro/restaurant and the tourist info. it's in perfect location for your trip to tsitsikamma national park.

The room was lovely and comfortable and bathing facilities were very clean. There was an outdoor pool with sufficient loungers. The breakfast was delicious. It was next door to a good restaurant , although within safe walking distance of many other restaurants. An ideal place to stop.

Everything you can do in Storms river is going to the expensive Tsitsikamma National Park. There is nothing else around and no supermarket! The next one is 60km away so make sure you buy enough water before you arrive in Storms River. The Guesthouses is compared to others big with a nice garden and a great breakfast. The rooms are...

Thank you for taking the time to review our guest house and general area. Just to clarify, the entrance fee to the Tsitsikamma National Park for South African Citizens is R45 per person and R95 for foreign guests, which most people find very reasonable. We do have a little privately run supermarket in the village that sells basic needs, especially...

We stayed in Stormsrivier Guest Lodge for 3 Nights. Very warm welcome and always great support during our stay. One negative thing to mention: 2 sunbeds at the pool area is definitely not enough if some more people decide to spend a relax time at the pool.

Other guests appeared happy and we found it okay so don't dismiss it altogether, read other reviews. However we found the establishment in need of a major update. It generally felt 1970's. Our bedroom was dark with very poor lighting not helped by dark brick walls, the bathroom by contrast was lighe and airy with a god shower although goodness...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Storms River Guest Lodge is located in the peaceful village of Storms River, in the heart of the Tsitsikamma, which forms part of the Garden Route. Tsitsikamma is a Khoi/Nama word meaning 'place of abundant water.' The region is bordered at the north by the Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean. The village is surrounded by natural occurring indigenous forest, Fynbos and commercial plantations. This charming lodge is a Bed and Breakfast (which is suitable for small and large groups), consisting of a double story building with 14 spacious, en-suite rooms. The top story has a large veranda that offers panoramic views of the Storms River Mountain Peak and the tranquil lodge gardens. Other facilities include a private swimming pool that the whole family can enjoy. In addition, the lodge is in close proximity to a variety of exciting activities that cater to both the adventurous, and those looking to put their feet up for a relaxing break. The area also hosts a number of meandering hiking trails, the Tree Top Canopy Tours; Black Water Tubing; mountain biking; segways and horse riding. The area also boasts the highest commercial bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge. The Storms River Mouth - with its spectacular shoreline - is the start of the famous Otter Hiking Trail and is situated in the Tsitsikamma National Park and is a mere 10 kilometres away. For a more relaxing experience, there is the Tsitsikamma Mountain Spa where you will be pampered. With such an abundance of natural beauty, it is hard to resist the allure of this magical place. What better place to settle in for the night, after an exhilarating day outdoors, than the Storms River Guest Lodge? Indulge in cool breezes and the sound of chirping crickets on the veranda in summer or cosy up to an intimate log fire in winter with a decadent mug of hot chocolate (or even an indulgent glass of red wine!). The lodge offers a little slice of heaven to everyone, and even the weariest of travellers will leave rejuvenated! Should you need any assistance during your stay, the hostess, who is also the owner, will be able to assist you with any needs you might have, and even help you to plan your activities. ... more   less
