A chilled and friendly place with a great view of the Zambezi River, especially when high. Great bar too. Customer service is on point with great receptionists. The rooms are neat, pool is neat, WiFi is good.

Initial room allocated was not to standard so we asked to move which they did. The new room was better but needed some maintenance. This was our 4th stay and the overall standard has fallen. We alerted management to the issues we found and they did email us acknowledging the problems.

We booked this hotel online, paid in advance. Upon check-in we were told that the payment has not been made and that we do have to pay again. As I was really sick and desperately needed a bed, my partner and I didn't argue for long and paid. When I was a bit better, we went to the reception with...

The hotel and adjacent camping area are very close to town, situated right at the riverfront, and offering a splendid view on the Zambezi river. But at least twice a week there is a private party (e.g. a wedding) going on in the middle of the campsite, with distorted music from overloaded speakers. The guests don't hesitate to park their...

The staff were nice. I'm not remotely precious when it comes to hotels generally, but this place - it was like a dodgy US motel. Worst hotel in Namibia. Even the life buoy was floating in the swimming pool. We were stranded there for two nights as we had rental car problems. Breakfast was brutal. The sun loungers were filthy,...

1. Staff below the line of courtesy, it looks like they are always annoyed by you asking something and they are very inefficient 2. No control on the food - they served An expired Nutella once, I let them know it and ask to throw it away...but two days later they served the very same expired Nutella!!! And when I...

I was here in July. The room I was in has an amazing view overlooking the river and Zambia. The breeze from the river was amazing could've been because we were just getting into autumn. The rooms are spacious but need updating for a more modern feel. Room maintenance could be improved upon as a part of the ceiling was...

My wife and I stopped over for a night on the way to Botswana. We had the most uncomfortable stay here. We were given a room at the far end of the hotel where it was dark and neglected. My wife did not feel safe in that room at all.to make things even worse, when we entered the room, there...

On Friday the 6th May 2016 at around 4pm my wife and I booked into the campsite at the Protea Hotel in Katima Mulilo, Namibia. We paid for two nights camping at reception and went to look for a comfortable campsite. We found a campsite overlooking the Zambezi River, close to an ablution block, and about twenty five meters from...

Situated on the banks of the Zambezi river you see Zambia on the other end.., relax on the patio overlooking the Zambezi river with a glass of red wine or ice cold Windhoek lager beer... You hear the crocodiles splashing nearby.. Hippopotamus yawning a stone throw away... Or watch the kingfisher catching small fish... Make sure you take some mosquito...
