Nestled close to pristine beaches and local attractions, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Gran Canaria is lauded for its convenient location and stunning views. While opinions on value vary, with some guests questioning the additional costs, the hotel's amenities, including distinct pool areas and a varied breakfast, generally receive high marks.
The staff's professionalism and friendliness are often praised, though there are occasional mentions of slow service. Despite the praise for cleanliness and comfortable rooms, noise and housekeeping inconsistencies sometimes mar the experience.

Detailed Reviews
We arrived Boxing day with a glass of cava waiting at the desk, check in was easy and we were soon in our rooms. Was a little surprised that the asked me to deposit 500 euros on account.
Our third floor superior room over looked the quiet pool, that is no ball games in the pool or boisterous behavior, which was well enforced as there is another pool where balls, inflatables and music are allowed. It was also made clear that sun beds were not to be reserved by using towels in the morning, any towels or other belongings being removed if left unattended before 10am.
The room was clean and spacious, wasn't too keen on the open plan shower which incorporated a glass frosted panel into the living area obviously the light shining through if someone was sleeping. TV with several news channels but you can link your ipad to the TV to watch your own films or youtube. large comfy king-size bed with massive pillows.
Gym bit small for size of the hotel, running track and outdoor exercise area, with tennis and paddle rackets??
Restaurant as there were 6 of us was a bit challenging at times to find seats together, but there were several staff waiting to great and seat us, so we usually didn't wait too long. Food was generally O.K., not fine dining but what you would expect from holiday 4* hotel. Very good New Years eve gala meal.
Entertainment was the one area that I thought was poor usual type of acts early evening, some better than others, one was so bad we left. Followed by a solo singer or guitarist, by which time there we just one or 2 tables of people left and the room was generally empty, which was surprising considering how packed it was New Years Eve until early hours. Drinks were rather expensive so this didn't encourage people to stay too long.
Nice location about 15 minutes stroll to the beach area, through an open market on Fridays, plenty of bars and cafes overlooking the sea. Some nice but strenuous walks up to the viewing point by the beach area or up the disused road on the other side of the valley, which used to lead to the next resort but is now walled off at the top point due to landslides. You can go "off track" from this road and follow some white markers into the hills but its is very difficult going, but worth the views from the very top.
Would consider going again to the Radisson Blue.

First and foremost, I hope this message finds the reader happy, healthy & staying safe!
I am writing this review from the comforts of the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa in Gran Canaria. As per the title of the review, there is no better time to visit Gran Canaria.
Might I first speak to the beautiful accommodations and team here at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa? The rooms all have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains, and the sea is only a short walk down the town’s lovely promenade.
We have stayed the majority of our time by the pools with family walks to the old town area for visits to Martonela for homemade Italian ice cream and beautiful sunsets from the quay by the harbor.
We are booked with the half-board, and we couldn’t be happier with the food, sans the extra kilos we will be returning with to Prague! The restaurant staff and cooks couldn’t be friendly and more accommodating, as you see in our respectful listing below their names.
It is a Grand time to visit Gran Canaria because there are not many folks here currently, allowing us to be treated like rock stars. As I am sure is being offered by other hotels, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa has considerably discounted their rates. So much so that we have added another week to our stay, and we have two family friends from Prague that just booked a last-minute trip to join us.
As someone whose work focuses on the world of Scholarly Publishing, I was impressed by how well organized the travel was with the highest regards for hygiene and safety at the airports and on the aircraft.
This was the first time I had travel since March of last year, and I was impressed at how respectful everyone worked together between passengers and flight crew.
If you have the winter / COVID blues, a visit to get a PCR test to allow for travel would be a grand start to a grand holiday with the wonderful folks here at the Gran Canaria Radisson Blu Resort & Spa.
My wife Martina asked that I also comment regarding the incredible nearby hikes available in the surrounding mountains!
Highest compliments and respect to the Radisson Blu Team*:
Front Desk: Christian & Abigail
Restaurant Front Team: Diego, Ricardo, Carolyn, Lucia, Pedro, Anabella, Vray (moves fast and the best smile), and Solange.
Chef & Cooks: Chavi, Kaila, Christia, Gustav,
Spa & Exercise: Daniel, Elena & Sonja

I've stayed at this hotel as a solo guest five times. I come here to relax and unwind from my busy work life. Each room has sunbeds on the balcony and the balconies in premium rooms offer the most privacy. The hotel and it's staff take cleanliness and safety very seriously. I've have stayed here three times between March 2020 and July 2021 and my PCR tests on return to the UK after each visit were negative. This has given me the confidence to return. Restrictions are in place in "The Larder" indoor restaurant - face masks must be worn in the buffet area, hand sanitiser must be used on entry and they operate a "one way system" in and out. To protect their staff, housekeeping will only attend to your room when you are out. The variety and quality of food and quality of service in their restaurants has significantly improved since my last visit, despite current COVID restrictions. I highly recommend the Spa - the hot water pool and heated beds are great to soothe painful knees and staff speak excellent english.

I stopped here for the first time with my husband and twin 7 year olds. On arrival I was impressed with the pool areas and it looked like all the rooms were pool views, I’d paid extra for an interconnecting room and was a bit disappointed that ours was in a small block that didn’t overlook the pool or had any sun on the balcony, the view overlooked an unused piece of land which was unsightly. My husband asked if we could be moved or even upgraded to a better located room but they were fully booked, they did ask us to check later into our holiday. The rooms themselves were lovely, very spacious and modern with little luxuries such as slippers and dressing gowns and toiletries which were restocked when used. I can’t fault the bedrooms or furnishings at all they were finished to an impressive standard.
We went bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very nice and had everything you could want! My kids loved the Nutella and pancake machine! The omelettes and scrambled eggs were my favourite. The staff in the restaurant were excellent, they were extremely hard working and efficient and should be commended for their effort! You could also get snacks at the pool and they were very nice, the food was a reasonable price but the drinks in my opinion were expensive.
We spent most of our time around the children’s pool... there is a large quiet pool for those who don’t want to be surrounded by screaming children but my children loved it, and if they’re happy so are we! there was always plenty of sun beds and you could see your children okay from the sunbeds, the inflatable dome was also a big hit. The entertainment team were brilliant, not too pushy! We joined in a lot of activities and my little girl went to the kids club, she loved it, especially the lady ‘Desi’ well don’t to the entertainment team they were all brilliant!
The only thing I wouldn’t recommend was the facials in the spa, I thought I’d treat myself and paid for an 80 euro facial, I’ve had facials before and it wasn’t worth the money. Everything else in the hotel is first class but I feel the rooms where the treatments are could be improved I’ve never had a facial in a brightly lit room, there wasn’t even any relaxing music on for most of it, she must have realised and then switched it on. I had high expectations and was left feeling disappointed.
The evening entertainment was hit and miss some days were better than others but to be honest because we had busy days which started early we were usually too tired to watch all of the night time entertainment. The cocktails were nice and again the bar staff were very efficient.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday, our children loved it and we hope to return to this hotel again.

As you might expect from this chain, the Radisson Blu Mogán is a very business like hotel. It’s modern, professional and efficient. It has everything you need, but not everything you might want on holiday. Decadence, service and luxury are definitely missing here!
The hotel is 4 years old and showing it. The rooms are comfortable, although the twin beds with single quilts pushed together are definitely not what you would expect in a “double” or “king” room.
Room service menu is quite poor, snacks for the starving and desperate, as you would expect in a business hotel.
Breakfast is ok, maybe good, but certainly not great. Coffee tastes like instant, if not then god knows what they do to make it taste so, well, “instant”! Big disappointment! Dishes are not well labelled, tough hunting grounds for a vegan, although they do have almond / soya milk.
Bars are poor. No oases of relaxation here and you can forget decadence! one local red wine by the glass. service is rather slow and at times non-existent. go to the bar and order seems to be the rule here.
Poolside music is poor. regeaton played over-load through under-sized speakers, into distortion. strange choice, considering the average age of the clientele seems to be 50+
parking is free and secure
wifi is free and works reasonably well
room safe is complimentary, as you would expect, although i’ve read of places that charge.
room cleaning has been friendly and efficient.
smoking not allowed under threat of a €200 fine!
Mogán is lovely! Not for night owls though
All in all, we feel a little disappointed with our chillout week in the sun. Chillout isn’t easy to pull off at this hotel. Shame that there doesn’t appear to be anywhere for a week of decadence / service / adult relaxation in Mogán.

We recently returned from a 1 week stay at this beautiful hotel in Puerto Mogan. We had previously stayed at another hotel in this resort a couple of times, and most recently in 2016 when the Radisson Blu was under construction.
We stayed in a pool view superior room on a half board basis and had a couple of requests regarding location which we advised when we made our booking and which the hotel had accommodated when we arrived.
The room was fantastic, with a fridge, TV with English news channels, large bathroom with a walk-in quench shower and separate bathtub, twin sinks. We also loved the large balcony which was equipped with two sunbeds with comfortable mats, two chairs and a table. The room was cleaned daily.
The pool area was lovely, kept very clean. Towels were provided free of charge and could be changed for clean towels as often as necessary. There was a quiet pool for adults and a separate family pool for families with children to use.
The breakfast and evening buffet meals were great, good quality food with plenty of choice each morning and evening. We particularly liked the different themes each evening in the main larder restaurant which provided variation every evening. The service was good, and we were promptly seated every morning and evening, with a choice of indoor or outdoor tables in a lovely environment. We intended to eat out a couple of times during our stay, and could have swapped the evening meal for lunch, however, as it was so convenient we decided to eat there every evening. The only minor complaint we had was that the wine was very expensive, so maybe this is something the hotel management could review ?
Puerto Mogan is a lovely little resort with a small beach, and a nice marina with a wide choice of restaurants.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing holiday at the Radisson Blu and we are already actively looking at returning next year.

This was our second visit to this hotel. In comparison to last year, check in was nice and easy. We were suprised about the 50€ per night requested to charge food, beverages to our room. We refused this offer as we prefer to pay as we go. During our stay we noticed that this was quite acceptable as guests paid by cash or card.
We had requested a ground floor room in the quiet zone but were allocated a third floor room overlooking the children's pool!! This issue was quickly dealt with and we spent a lovely 14 days on the 4th floor overlooking the quiet pool area.
Service was excellent in the bars ( particularly by Ana and Lupa at the pool bar ) and in the restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful but please get rid of the pancake machine.
Our room was serviced daily to a high standard and the bed was superbly comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

This Hotel is one of the very best we have stayed in whilst on holiday in the Canaries. The staff could not have been more helpful and the room was way above the average for a 5* Hotel. The pool’s and surrounding areas were immaculate with plenty of sun beds available all the time(even with the usual reserving with a towel brigade)

Stephen at check in was AWESOME!! So friendly and made us feel super welcome! Everyone was wearing masks and there was antibacterial gel everywhere (sad it should be during corona time) so we felt super safe, the QR code for all the menus was an excellent Covid measure, the 2pool options are great because on has a quiet zone for relaxing, pool towels were available everyday from the lifeguard which was a great bonus. Overall it was a great stay during an extremely difficult time (Coronavirus) just 1-2 hiccups which can be excused as we know businesses are under a lot of pressure in the current environment. We will definitely be back!

Recently enjoyed a fabulous and enjoyable stay at The Radisson in Puerto Mogan.
We have stayed there before but his time we went with our extended family. 8 of us. 4 Generations from the youngest 20 month baby to the the great grandparents in their 80's. I was confident that the hotel and resort would meet our expectations as always, But this time the management and staff went above and beyond the call of duty.
We had booked a half board stay for all of us. The entire family was delighted with the quality and quantity of the food on offer at The Larder restaurant. The staff there were exceptional in helping our large group relax and enjoy our meals and no request was too difficult for them.
The reception staff were brilliant also. From check in, organising all our family rooms to arranging a late check out, to dealing with a bank card hiccup, they could not have been more helpful.
Finally, I must also single out the wonderful staff who tidied up our rooms daily. The ladies were super accommodating, working around baby's sleeping schedule etc.
Over all, the value for money combined with the exceptional 5 star treatment at this wonderfully fresh, clean and relaxing resort makes it a must visit.
We can not wait to visit again.

We stayed in April and we couldn't get a late checkout...only an extra hour. When we asked they just said the hotel was full and ever checked the computer. Thus was despite on their website we could book another night.
They do have a shower room you can book
Has two showers in it from what I remember and they give you towels.
I can't remember the actual prices but all the drinks were expensive. We were offered a 10% discount when we checked in if we opened a table but they were still pricey. We bought a bottle of gin in duty free on the way and used that in our room before going to dinner.
