The location is great and the staff at the hotel front desk were AMAZING! They were so incredibly friendly, kind & would go out of their way to assist with any request or issue. However some things were out of their control. The rooms are quite small & shower so tiny I could barely bend my elbows. The internet signal was VERY unstable which makes sending emails, checking-in for flights, searching for places to visit, or anything else near impossible: not “high speed” at all advertised. For over 4 days I requested it be fixed. The staff requested for a technician but were ignored by those responsible. The same of the internet in some sections of the garden pool. On one visit I asked 4 waiters to perhaps reset the router or do something. Each one shrugged his shoulders & completely ignored me. We had the half-board option. The food was poor at best. To serve canned fruit salad, canned pears, canned peaches & frozen seafood in the Mediterranean should be a sin! Yet this was the standard. The same pre-prepared canned fruit salads were recycled between services hence pieces of brown apple, and fruit with skin curled up on the edges were repeatedly out on display. Rice pudding with 2-3 mm if thick skin but also without any actual rice in the dish, toasted sandwiches or pizza slices so dried up due left under the heat lamps till they were curled up & inedible, etc, etc. To get fresh & authentic Greek food we had to go elsewhere. Due to Covid some service restrictions were in place at the buffet however if not for the female staff like Kally, Balinda, a new girl, as well as the gentleman in the section immediately off the corner street entrance, we may have starved trying to get the attention of anyone to assist. Too many staff just walked around aimlessly passing by tables full of empty dishes or people at the buffet needing assistance to be served some food. 90% of the hotel’s guests are German so that is whom they cater to. We may as well have been in Little Germany more so than the beautiful island of Crete when it came to food. Oh, and you’d better wake up early to reserve your sunbed which is the thing to do due the clientele. This practice should have been stopped! It was infuriating to come to the beach or pool at 10 am only to find nearly all the sunbeds “reserved” with towels on them but no one occupying them! We’d return to Crete any time. But regrettably not to this hotel chain due the awful food & wait staff, but for 2 or 3 of them. But again, the staff at the hotel itself were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It’s just a pity that fantastic standard isn’t maintained throughout the rest of the Corissa Hotel facilities.

For the fifth year we came to sunny Crete for a beach vacation, now for a third time to Corissia Beach, a family owned 3***+ hotel close to the beach. Staff is always friendly, service and meals are excellent and within those difficult pandemic times the Corissia staff operates a sophisticated hygiene concept, so we felt very safe.

We had visited Georgioupolis in March and saw this hotel & restaurant plus pool facilities & decided to book it for October. A bit disappointed with not staying in the actual hotel Corissia Beach even though I had emailed earlier about paying the extra for a sea view. The room was across the road from the hotel and was very clean and the bed was good. Maria with new her towel & sheet animals were superb. This is a Germanresort and all information is in German but the staff are so good at switching to English to accommodate us. Perhaps English info could be made available if you know the Brits are coming. We enjoyed our stay & would try another hotel say the Princess on another occasion.

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay at Corissia Beach Hotel. We were collected from Chania airport and had a very comfortable transfer to the hotel. All the staff we found to be extremely polite and friendly. We were given room 317 (an upgrade, without any extra charge) which was perfect, very clean and lovely comfy bed, aircon and fridge were a welcome addition. Bathroom was large and nicely tiled, with good sized shower with glass doors. Nice balcony with a view over towards the Corissia Park hotel and sea. The beach is less than 100 metres away, and had complimentary sunbeds and umbrellas for guests of Corissia hotels. The pool area, across the road at Corissia Park was really lovely, plenty of sunbeds surround the large pool and gardens. Breakfast was served in their restaurant, and was plentiful with choices for every taste. There was a lovely bubbly activities girl, who encouraged those who wanted, to participate in bowls/aqua arobics/yoga/darts/zumba, if that's your thing. She was very friendly, and had a smile all day every day, but she never pestered guests like us, who were just happy to laze by the pool :-) We would highly recommend Corissia Beach Hotel, it was just perfect for us and we would definitely return.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week and were extremely happy with all the facilities. From being picked up at the airport our time in resort was girst class. The only criticism we had was that we were not housed in the hotel itself but just across the road. Staff were delightful and very helpful. Our cleaner Maria left us some brilliant towel animals everyday. Place was spotless. The restaurant which is just a short 1 minute stroll across the park/pool area constantly had a huge selection of food, all beautifully presented. Downside was there was no tea/coffee at dinner. The staff and waiters were all very polite and took time to welcome us. The Corissia group has several hotels and we were able to use their facilities if we wished. Georgiopolis is a lovely small resort, easily walkable from one end of the beach to the other. Plenty of car hire places and lots of shops from mini-markets to high end jewellers. The compact village square has colour changing water spouts and is surrounded By restaurants and shops and has seating areas around the fountains. Great place to eat, shop or just sit and watch the world go by. All in all, a great week.
