Here you can find everything to satisfy your vacation: beautiful and cosy location, friendly stuff, good restaurant with delicious food (including sea foods& local wine), comfortable pool right next to the beach. The hotel area is a solid flower garden in the background of the mountains. The room had all we need, wifi also was good both in the room and near the pool. It is an amazing mountain lake Kournas with clear water and turtles not far from the Hydramis. You can take a taxi, or rent a car, or take a local bus to Rethymno or other cities. The hotel has unobtrusive animation with sports activities, music.
Great place to stay, unforgettable experience. You can choose to spend time on beach or by a swimming pool not losing mountains from your sight. Lovely place for pairs or families. Activities on swimming pool including water fitness or water ball. Hotel is a small city with it's internal shop, restaurant and pool bar. Variety of drinks and this food... Tasty and healthy as hell 😈. Service is perfect all of employees are helpful and kind showing their great hospitality on every step ♥️. They are doing everything to make you feel like home.
Here i find everything to have a good vacancion:nice staff, good food, beach close to the hotel,a perfect piscine. I have something bad to say: time it's flying here - you don't know when passed 7 days.
Our experience was great, also because we already spent the night here the year before. We only stayed for two nights because we did this hotel as a stopover from Hersonissos to Loutro. So this time a second stop in between. Everything about this Hotel is top notch, you can't call it crazy, the staff, the entire accommodation, the food all day long, really sublime. Some of the staff still recognized us from last time, well we liked that too. If there were any questions about the food or other topics, the staff were immediately at your service and also helped you with everything, they were even willing to send someone with you if you couldn't figure it out. Ultimately a top location and can recommend it to everyone. Regards W F J.
We arrived on the 18th August 2021 from the U.K. Transfer from Chania airport to the Hydramis took close to 1hr. This was not too bad. When we arrived at around 3pm, the view of the hotel from the front was lovely. Check in was quick and efficient and we was provided with all the necessary helpful information, including the opening times of the restaurant (for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Also a menu listing and timetable for the meals and pool bar (I have attached a photo of this to help). Our room was on the 2nd floor (441) was is located in a block situated between the restaurant and pool/bar. This was an ideal location. The room itself was very large for our family of 4. There was two separate bedroom. For me an my wife we had a large room with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. Kids room had a bunk-bed, but they also had their own en-suite bathroom which was a real bonus and create help. Both rooms had flat screen televisions, although we didn't really use these. There is also a fridge in the main room and the hotel kindly stocked this with 2 bottles of water upon arrival. It was always cold and helpful to store our own drinks and snacks. As with all locations in Crete, please note that you cannot put toilet paper down the toilet. This has to go into the bin beside the toilet, otherwise you will block the plumbing. Both bathrooms are very clean and well laid out. A real bonus to the very helpful and friendly maids that service the rooms. Nothing was too much for them. Even when one day we left the key-card in the room :) Air-Con was very effective, although one of the remote controls died (battery), but the other remote worked on both units. View from the large balcony was really nice. Lovely view of the sea and rest of scenery. There is also a manually operated awning on the balcony which is great when extended to keep the sun out of the room. The sliding patio doors also have a separate insect sliding screen as well. Lovely to lay on your bed, open the door, but have the insect screen closed so you can listen to the sounds of the night and sea waves. Between our block and the restaurant, there is a small on-site market. This stocks almost everything you would need. For kids, if they but an inflatable float, they will inflate this for you, which saves the huffing and puffing :) The pool itself is a lovely size. One area is deeper, but if you swim under the two arched bridges, the other side is very shallow and great for small children. However there is a separate small pool which is ideal for very small children and toddlers. The main pool bar opens at 10am, but only to serve water. You can buy fresh orange juice for 2 euros which is available to 12pm. The service of soft and alcoholic drinks starts at 11am. Usually there is a slight mad rush at 11am and can get quite busy. There is a large all-inclusive selection of local spirts and beer. You'd have to be very picky not to find something to drink. Throughout the course of the day there is also all-inclusive snacks available at the pool bar along with ice-cream in cones or tubs. Children will love this. A big shout out to Stratos, Lina, Zina, Diamata and the rest of the team. They are so good and really looked after me an my family. Thank you. Kiko on-site entertainer (and I hope I've spelt his name right), really engages all the guests. He is very funny and a real bonus to the hotel. He does Aqua-Zumba, Water-Polo and Beach Volleyball throughout the day. Again, he is a very funny and friendly guy. Walking down the step from the pool area brings you onto the beach. The hotel have their own private loungers, so there is no extra cost here. There are some stones and pebbles from the sand before you can get into the sea, but this is not too difficult. The water itself is warm and great. However for a few days of our stay the wind was too high and the water/waves too rough for anyone to go in. However everyone made do with the pool. Food wise in the main restaurant was great. As you walk in there is a hand-sanitizer and you are required to take a plastic glove for the food selection areas, and also a mask for walking around the food serving areas. However these can be taken off once seated. For breakfast, there is the usual items like Crepes, Omelette's, Fried Eggs etc. But also a large buffet selection of fresh fruits, salads, cold meats and cooked items. Lunch and Dinner is a gastronomical feast. There is such a wide selection to choose from and also a separate grill with fresh meats etc. being cooked. You would really find it hard not to find something to eat. Especially for my fussy Son. All good items are clearly labelled as well with ingredients etc. Desserts were delicious according to my Wife and Kids. But that is not really my thing. Evening entertainment during out stay was unfortunately a little lacking, but this was due to a government lock down at the time, where no music could be played encouraging close groups of people dancing. I'm sure during normal times this would not be an issue. In the main hotel/lobby area itself, there is a separate bar here and seating. This serves drinks, including premium spirits, but is not all-inclusive. This from my view appeared to be very quite and not utilized much by guests. From my personal perspective and kind suggestion to management, it may be better to offer both all-inclusive drinks at this bar, and also allow guests to purchase premium if they wish. I think this would really encourage people to use this area more. All in all, there is not really anything bad I can say about our stay at the Hydramis. It was relaxing, the weather was great, and the staff really looked after myself and my family. Thank you. Would we go back again. Definitely.…
