We have just had the most amazing 5 days here! The staff are great, very friendly and very attentive. The room was lovely looking over the ocean, very clean too. Would highly recommend a visit here. Very central but not loud.

Hotel's Favourite
I’ve had a wonderful stay at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm welcome from Reception and the hospitality throughout my stay was excellent! I was upgraded to half board and you could eat the second meal any time of the day (the Cretan and international cuisines that were served were very delicious!!). I had a lovely large, clean room with balcony on the ground floor, and I had the best nights sleep on the cocomat mattress! They give out a beach towel daily for 1 euro, which I could use in the pool area or on the beach across the road - 1 min walk away. All the staff members were friendly and willing to give you the best service, they all wore masks, cleaning often, and their was use of hand gel. They provided free fitness/yoga classes daily and the open air spa/gym/hot tub with the views of the mountain and ocean was a massive highlight for me. Especially with happy hour cocktails (2for1) between 12 and 5 every day. I’m super happy I stayed here - excellent services, heartfelt kindness and hospitality - thank you for the wine and honey raki on my last day to give me a great send off home back to the U.K. :) I loved my time in the Georgioupolis Village (plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, and an air conditioned bus every hour to Chania/Heraklion and beyond if needed). If you are looking for a clean, safe, beachfront hotel in a historic village, with excellent hospitality and walking distance to all amenities, I would recommend this hotel!! I’m going back next year.

Myself, my wife and our two children (aged 12 & 15) stayed at GB Hotel end of July/beginning August 2021, in one of the two-bedroom apartments. The hotel is perfectly situated near the beach and close to the centre of town (centre of town is just a few minutes’ walk away). Our stay was fantastic just what was needed after the crazy year we all have had with lockdown. The Hotel is very clean and modern, with a lovely pool. All the staff are fantastic (big shout out to Daisy and the team/cooks in the rooftop restaurant). Everything about our holiday/the hotel was fantastic, the two-bedroom apartment work perfectly for us, it enabled the kids to have their own space (not making a mess in our room) and allowed us to stay up after the children had gone to bed without the worry of waking them up. The apartments have a small patio area that leads on to a garden area which was lovely to sit in of an evening with a cold glass of beer/wine feeling the gentle breeze roll in off of the see (the beach is literally stone’s throw away). We opted for the half board option, and we are so glad we did. Breakfast is good there are enough choices to suit all tastes and your other meal can be taken as lunch or dinner, which in my view is a fantastic idea as it gives you a lot more flexibility and the opportunity to try some of the local tavernas for evening meal. But there is one small issue, the food at the GB hotel is so good you find yourself not wanting to go anywhere else. The restaurant is on the roof with fantastic views of the see and the church. The restaurant team are amazing and always make you feel so welcome, we tried many if not most of the dishes on the menu during our stay and we absolutely enjoyed every single meal we had (big shout out to the lovely cooks who always smiled said hello and goodbye “I miss your Lamb chops”). As a family we go away every year, but this is the first hotel that my family have stayed in that they want to return to, this shows how much they enjoyed the stay and how good the hotel is. Thanks again to everybody at the hotel and we hope to see you again next year.

We've stayed here once before but this time, with the updated hotel, our stay was perfect. We bough our 17 month old daughter and the staff were so supportive and accomodating. There is a play area at the roof top restaurant which our daughter enjoyed very much. We felt very safe with hygiene at a difficult time. With the Covid regulation, the staff went the extra mile with everything. Great rooms, awesome staff and a very safe hotel. 10 out of 10
