We stayed at a beach cottage. Pau (our hostess) was helpful and thoughtful. She booked our taxi to and from Rakiraki and return boat. The cottage was simple but suited perfectly our needs. There were a few insects but nothing more than one would expect in the tropics. The island is gorgeous I would stay there again and recommend to...

Great well priced relaxed lodgings. I have stayed here 1/2 a dozen times since 1998. The cottages are very homely and you are able to self cater. There is still great breakfast, lunch, and dinner options if you want at the bar. The beach in front of the cottages offer easy snorkelling and swimming & is a child friendly beach...

I recently spent the afternoon at Bethams Anchor Bar for a few quiet beers after a meeting. The staff were very helpful and the beer was icey cold and this bar has a view to die for looking back over the Nakovadra Ranges, what more can you ask for! I look forward to my next visit. Thanks to all the...

My wife and I have been staying at Bethams off and on for the past 20 years and we will not stop going. It is the ultimate place for R&R. You need to go for at least four days to get that "wind-down" feeling. Of course Nananu-i-Ra is the mecca for wind surfing and it is noticeable that lovers of...

Even after the cyclone, it's remains beautiful place to relax. Reading a book, short walk and swim makes a perfect place. Great wildlife, mosquitos are vicious. Just a pity they that fan goes off around 10pm. Makes nights very difficult to sleep. The shop is not a shop just expect bear and munchies no cooking food. Staff were lovely. Rob...

We have been to Betham's a number of times over the last few years and this time we went 2 weeks post tropical cyclone winston. They must have done enormous amounts of work to get it ready for visitors again and it was ready! Don't hesitate to visit them and directly support some of the communities that have been worst...

Our family spent a WONDERFUL weekend at Betham's last week. Relaxing as ever, wonderful snorkelling with so much soft coral, stunning sunsets and the lovely staff. The drive from Suva was so sad, seeing the devastating destruction to the north of Viti Levu from Cyclone Winston. Due to the damage at Ellington Wharf the lovely folk at Wananavu are letting...

Peaceful and perfect for low maintenance holiday makers who like clean accommodation, nice friendly staff and the ability to self cater. Set on a beautiful island with calm waters and nice snorkelling. A couple of dive school options available and some good walks on the island. Kayaks available.

We have lived in Fiji now for 2 years, and been regular visitors prior to this, and have just got back from our 8th wonderful visit to Nananu-i-ra, having stayed again at Bethams. This beautiful peaceful island is the perfect place for a family holiday. The Betham’s cottages provide spacious, clean, well set up self-contained accommodation right on the beach...

I concur with so many of the other rave reviews. We have stayed at Betham's Beach Cottages for many years with our two teenage boys. We love the nature-focussed simplicity of holidays here: the basic but clean cottages; no cars; beautiful snorkelling right off the beaches around the island; several picture postcard white sand beaches; warm water and other activities...
