Wonderful family hotel, with clean rooms, great hosts, a good selection of breakfast items, and fantastic location. The beach is just a few steps across the street, and the hotel provides lounge chairs. Nice sand and rock beach great for the family, as well as all the restaurants you could want in the area, and entertainment within waking . Great safe parking just in front of the hotel. We will definitely come back!
My wife and I stayed here in June 2018 on the last leg of our 3 week Italy vacation, celebrating our wedding anniversary. This hotel stay proved to be a great experience, far superior to other 3 and 4 star hotels we utilized along the self driving, 3 week tour of Italy, from Imola (Bologna) in Emilia-Romagna, to Montecatini Terme (Pistoia) in Tuscany, to Sorrento (Naples) in the Campania region, to Alberobello (Bari) in the Puglia region, to Falerna (Lamezia Terme) in Calabria. What makes this hotel far superior in its class, regardless of its star ratings? First and foremost, the personal attention the owner and his family afford his patrons. Let me ask, what hotel owner or employee would personally drive you, vouch for you, and use his personal bank account as guarantor in order for you to exchange Dollars to Euros in a local bank? Isodoro, the hotel owner did it for us, and refused remuneration for his efforts. We could also emphasize the fact that the double room on the second floor had a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea from one side of its wrap around balcony, and from the other side, the old town of Corigliano Calabro with its commanding Castello Ducale. We could also comment how the room was impeccably clean, the bed very comfortable, and the grounds well groomed. The beach, a couple hundred feet in front of the hotel, is NOT a white sandy beach, but that does not deter people from experiencing the warm, clean, and clear waters of the sea. Isodoro (the owner) and his son Giovanni diligently will bring a sun cot with a beach umbrella to the smooth pebbly beach and set them up to your liking. The breakfast was extensive, and delicious. Rosa, Isodoro’s wife, meticulously prepares it herself. She makes it a point to present local baking delights such as bocconotti, and crispelle, as well as her own breakfast cake creations, and her almond cookies that are out of this world (I had to confess to her that I “stole “ 3 for the road. She forgave us with a warm smile.) Ok, so, after a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, sweets, fresh fruit, then a made to order cappuccino for me and double espresso for my wife, we are on our way to explore the countryside, and meet and greet friends and relatives. After 5 days of wonderful hospitality by this family, we said Arriverci with a hug, a family photo and fond memories of our stay. We will miss the antics of Leone, their friendly and sweet 10 month old Cocker Spaniel. …
My wife and I stopped here for 1 night on our way to Puglia. The hotel is nice, and right across the street from the beach. I would rate it a 3 star property. The room was satisfactory. Very clean. Bathroom was good, but a bit small. Overall the accommodation was good. The host and his family, on the other hand, were spectacular. We went out to the beach and were standing looking at the sea when the hosts son brought us beach chairs. Breakfast was made by his wife. He recommended us a great restaurant and was one of those people we’ll remember for a long time. We’d go back.
What a lovely lovely family we felt so welcome here they couldn’t do enough for us. They put sun loungers on the beach for us, were very welcoming it made us feel totally at home. Lovely clean family run hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Where to begin? Isadoro and his son Giovanni welcomed us with warm hearts and big smiles. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. Gorgeous Rosa (Isadoro's wife) greeted us with a delicious breakfast and the best scones and lemon cake ever that she baked herself. Ok now to the finale. If our stay wasn't perfect enough, the morning we were to leave for Taranto our taxi driver called last second to cancel. Isadoro and Rosa and their adorable son drove us to Taranto!!! I highly recommend you stay here with this beautiful and kind familia!
