Read in the Milepost Magazine and other publications that the Bakery at this place was known for their famous cinnamon rolls/buns. They were right! They were amazing, even reheated in the microwave as we stopped around 5pm. They have lots of raisins, so you definitely...More
Rooms are kinda small but the staff is friendly and it's a great spot to stop on the Alcan highway. Pet friendly which is a huge plus and nice little restaurant attached for a bite of food. Overall good place.
Johnson River was a great place to stay. Friendly hosts. Good food. Cozy and clean room. Our family really enjoyed our stay there. It was a pleasant warm, cheery oasis in the long drive down the Alaska Highway.
the room was on the smaller side but it was decently clean. The staff were wonderful and very welcoming. The food and baking was wonderful, I highly suggest it. The washrooms are super fun with chalkboards all over the walls, my kids loved it! Would...More
Conveniently situated on the route we planned to drive from Whitehorse to Calgary. Room was small but clean and had everything we needed for a night. People were very nice. Breakfast and diner were prepared fresh and tasty.

I was a visitor last August. You will find a nice campground in a wooded setting near the river. I doubt there is a problem accommodating your group but I would strongly advise to make reservations as it can be very busy in the summer. Pull through sites, full hookups, showers, laundry and dog run. There is also a restaurant with home cooked food and famous cinnamon buns, WiFi, motel, bakery, gift shop, gas/diesel available and of course fishing. The people I dealt with were very nice. For your convenience, here is their phone number: (867) 390-2607. I do not know their winter hours, but they are open all year.
