We had a great welcome from Jim, and we left our bags and went exploring. We arrived back late and the next morning we were treated to the most amazing breakfast. We will definetly return to this B&B.

We stayed three nights in Bracken B&B. We had a pleasant stay. The owners are really welcoming and helpful. You see that they like to meet new people even if it's only for one night. The breakfast is gorgeous, there is space to park a car. The B&B Is along a road where cars can drive quickly but it was not an issue regarding noise to sleep. The B&B is extremely clean. The owners live in the B&B but there are 6 rooms I think, some with separate bathrooms. There is also a shared living room for the tourists. The owners live in their own area in the B&B. To our taste, the room we got (at the back with bathroom) was a little bit too small and there was an issue with shower (not enough pressure). We mentioned it to the owners and there was no issue to directly get another room. This was better to our taste (bigger room). And they already took action to improve the problem of pressure in the shower. The B&B is located 5 min. far by car from the Glendalough area where you can easily to do several different walkings/hikings. The only reason to give 4 stars instead of 5 for this B&B is the bathroom which is relatively small and which could have been "refreshed" in the sense that it is a little bit old-dated but it was perfectly clean. However, we have to highlight that we are more used to stay in B&B with price per room of +/-100€/night. At Bracken you pay +/- 70/night. Only to say that 4 stars is compared to what we are used to have and 5 stars could be given taking into consideration the ratio price/quality. But for sure, we don't regret our stay there and we recommend Bracken to any new interested person.

This place was fantastic! It was located right along the 'Wicklow Way' and the proprietor, Jim, was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was phenomonal as well. I enjoyed the 2 days that I spent here very much.

My husband and I stayed with Jim and Judy for three nights on a short trip from the states to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We closed out their season in late October. They were wonderfully warm, welcoming and accommodating. The house is cozy and unfussy, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom tiny but very functional. Very close to town and the hiking trails. And Jim makes a great breakfast! Would definitely return.

Stayed here last Saturday for one night, arrived late, around 8pm but had rang ahead and it was no problem with the owners. Got big friendly welcome from Judy on arrival. Room was comfortable and clean, plenty hot water for showers. Breakfast was lovely and was accompanied by a lovely homemade potato bread which was a lovely gesture by Jim. Location was only a few mins drive from Glendalough and Sally Gap. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Jim and Judy for your warm welcome and helpfulness.
