Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good location! The hostel is right in front of Kawaguchiko Station and close to amenities. Convenient stores, restaurants, shopping places were just within walking distance. You'll be able to see the beautiful Mount Fuji on a good day too! Very helpful and hospitable owners. We were allowed to leave our luggages/backpacks at the hostel when we went for our climb at no extra fee. Some of us were leaving for Tokyo right after our descend and our shower fee at the hostel was discounted. Loved the Japanese breakfast. Recommended for solo travellers as well as groups! Note: The Japanese are very particular about footwear and where you place them! So, be respectful, watch and learn from the locals, hostel owners and their staff on where they place their shoes/boots, and where they put on those sandals that they provide for you. When in doubt, just ask!😉

For anyone on a budget, their rates start at roughly 4200 yen/night including the 5% tax - however the prices do change by season and room availability For pure convenience, I give this lodging a 5 star. It is literally across the street from Kawaguchiko Station Inn, so you don't have to worry about transporting your luggage to yet another location. The rooms are simple, tatami mats with down comforter, plenty of room. There are TVs however, please note that all the programming available was in Japanese. There is free wifi, but it can be pretty slow especially at night, when I assume that everyone is back from their hikes and trying to access the Wi-Fi at the same time. I would highly recommend Kawaguchiko Station Inn for a convenient stay near Lake Kawaguchiko for an amazing view of Mt Fuji and easy access to the red line buses to travel the rest of the lake as long as you curb your expectations for a budget friendly stay. *Tip* they are cash only and there are no non-smoking rooms according to their website. However there were no smells of smoke in our room during the stay

This Inn was our life saver. We came to Kawaguchiko Station with no itinerary even hotel booking. When we reached there, almost all the guesthouse were full. Luckily, this Inn came to my searches. We paid around ¥6,000 for 2 person one night. Its the cheapest compared to others. The guy in the reception was really helpful and welcoming. Since it is an inn, you shouldn't expect a hotel kind of service and facilities but I can guarantee that the room is clean and decent enough if you are just looking for a place to sleep. They have typical Japanese type of room with a small table, tv, thermos and a pair of yukata. The matress, pillow and blanket has to be pulled inside the big drawer. They don't serve breakfast but offers free tea and coffee in the common area at the basement. Toilets are common and they only have public bath area overlooking Mt. Fuji's. The Inn is located across the station. There are several restaurants around the area and souvernir shop beside the building.

The hotel condition is average, the good thing is location which it is near from train station and bus stop. This hotel is also near mini shops like Seven Eleven but it's a bit far from restaurants. I can see the Fuji's mountain from my room with nice mountain view ...

Just across the street from the train station, Room, common area and bathroom are clean, futon and pillow are quite ok not too hard, there is one shower room if you're not into ofuro, old washing machine (but working) and dryer ... . Usable towel (old, enough size and not too thin). We did not try the cafeteria so can't comment. But no elevator so ask for rooms in 2nd floor, facing the street & Fuji-san, the road was quite when we stayed there. There are complimentary tea, water, keetle in the room.

As you can see from the reviews this Inn has an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and a wonderful onsen. But I wanted to write this review because of the amazing customer service I had during my stay. I ended up needing medical assistance when I was at the inn and had no idea how to find a doctor. The young man at the front drove me to a local doctor, translated my complaints, and then picked me up and even took me to the pharmacy to get the medicine I needed. I can't say how grateful I am to the staff of this inn for their assistance in my time of need. Clearly, the staff of this hotel will go above and beyond for their guests.

We stayed here overnight in hopes of seeing Mt Fuji. Alas it was not to be but the inn was excellent. The manager was quite friendly and even gave us a gift of 4 pictures of Mt Fuji to cover the 4 seasons. We had a family room which slept 4 comfortably. It is Ryukan style room which was comfortable and charming. We also used the Osen which is located on the top floor. It was very clean and spa like. We opted for the Japanese and western breakfast. The Japanese was much much better. Great people, location, and price. Please give this place a try.

This place is so comfortable in many ways, the opposite is train station less then 5 munites walk. I made reservation in dorm. but to compare with another hostel, it quite large bed with private place for your big luggage. unfortunately, when i back in 2nd time, all are reserved.
