Read my full review here: http://kandsgotravel.blogspot.com/2014/12/lake-land-hotel-mizunosato-japan-mount.html The hotel staff were very friendly and went all ways to help us overcome the issue of road closure that happened during our stay. The dinner at the restaurant was very nice.

HOTEL: We chose this ryokan because they offer vegetarian meal options (see FOOD) which I think is grat! The ryokan itself is nice, but not overwhelming. I liked the location (at the lakeside, view of Mt. Fuji) more than the hotel. The lobby is quite old fashioned and very dark, but the restaurant seems quite new. The onsen is big....

Stayed 2 nights in this gorgeous hotel right on the river. It's a good walk to the main shops, but we love to go walking so wasn't an issue. Breakfast was included which was very Japanese, not a lot of western. Dinner was absolutely incredible. The first night we had a 9 course almost degustation of Japanese foods, was a...

This was my first stay in a traditional Japanese ryokan. The hotel was not luxurious-looking but everything else made up for it. Firstly, the Japanese-styled room was just nice for the two of us. We woke up to a stunning view of Mt Fuji in its full glory. I understood that some rooms were facing Lake Kawaguchi instead. However, the...

Yes, the hotel is old and not the typical luxury onsen villa you've been dream of. But the room is considerably clean and quite japanese feel. The hotel is quite far from the train station, if you get a cab to the hotel, it's only cost you 1000 Yen.However, the location is quiet, and serene. With beautiful lake view. If...

This was a great hotel to stay at. A very spacious room, a very great location. A great spa area too. Do check out the one on the top floor outside, it has a view of Mount Fuji on the one side and the lake on the other side. The dinner and breakfast are OK. The hotel is a tad...

I stayed in the western-style room on the fifth floor. At first I was unimpressed, the room was a mixture of old and new furniture, and the heat was on full blast. The I looked outside my window and saw Mt. Fuji standing there as impressive as always, and I forgot about everything else. The room may have been subpar...

The hotel staff were extremely friendly, helping you carry your luggage, fetching you from the station, bringing you back to the station and even allowing us to choose a kimono like clothing for females, while males have theirs in the room. The dinner and breakfast were extremely delicious. In mh opinion, pick a small and not that filling main course,...

My girlfriend and I are confused; how could this hotel get so many good reviews??? For a long time we thought that we must be in wrong place! Based on reviews and the extremely expensive room-rate, we were expecting luxury and modernity, and instead found ourselves first in a room with a spider infested balcony, and then when we changed...
