Konansou scores full marks on all the measures that make a great ryokan. It's not cheap but the standard is extremely high. Plenty of Japanese visit but it's also good for first timers to a ryokan and the staff speak very good English and there is some Mandarin also. The food is excellent. Breakfast is served in a public dining...

Beautiful rooms. We stayed in a Japanese room and you could stay in it the whole day just staring out the big picture window of the lake. Service was impeccable. We also went for the private bath session twice and saw Fuji-san clearly on the second time. Dinner was served in room and was a treat. The breakfast buffet was...

We stayed one night at Konansou and enjoyed wonderful Japanese hospitality. Our check in was smooth. The receptionist spoke moderate English but there was a manager that spoke fluently who assisted. We were brought to our room. It was a very spacious Japanese style room. It felt very luxurious given the space we had and we were only 2 people....

So happy with their service- food, room, staff, facility, shuttle bus!!! We stayed now night! It was warm and welcome. We caught the shuttle bus at Lake Kawaguchi station around 10:45 AM. If you don't want to take the hassle calling the hotel to pick you up, you can head to the bus stop next to the tourist office at...

This was the first time we stayed in a ryokan in Japan. Konansou was the perfect place to enjoy this experience. The service is just flawless. The employees will make big efforts in English to make your stay as comfortable as possible and to explain everything. We had a room with a private bath with a beautiful lake view. The...

Very good ryokan at the shores of lake Kawaguchiko. The service is top notch despite the fact that most of the staff doesn't speak or understand English in a conversational way. But they really try their best to help you. The breakfast buffet is quite good and diner follows the Japanese ritual. During the checkin they ask you a lot...

My family (4adults) stayed at the fuji-san view room. The room is very spacious with separate bedroom and private outdoor bath. We arrived at the hotel and we were welcomed by a very good english speaking staff who led us to our room. She made us greentea to enjoy with Japanese snacks. The dinner was served in our room and...

Stayed for one night only, should have stayed longer! Great hospitality, great food (price includes dinner and breakfast), great views of the Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji, great room (tatami), and great onsen experience! The price also includes a one-way ride to Kawaguchiko Station, although I think it should be complimentary both ways. It's not far from the Station, around...

The staff picked us up as soon as we arrived at the nearby station and were so welcoming and friendly. We had a room with a open air bath facing Mt Fuji. Thankfully the weather was very clear so we had a beautiful view of Mt Fuji as we enjoyed the amazing private onsen. The room was so spacious and...
