We have visit this hotel in month of July. There is 8 rooms ,from where you can view Kanchanjungha.Quality of Food is very good specialty Bengali Dishes. Staff of Hotel are courteous. We have booked 3 rooms .Total 9 person and one child below 5 years. The charge of hotel was 950 per pax on triple sharing basis. In my view 2 to 3 days are sufficient for peling. The room size is bit small.
The view from some of the rooms are great. The rest is not that great. I paid Rs. 800 for 3 people for one night. The rooms are run down. Clean but at the same time quite shabby. The hotel owner or maybe manager was quite snippy if you tried to complain about something. But you can get food in the hotel (pre ordered) and there is a shop beside it for buying snacks.
we had booked two rooms for one night, we booked this hotel parodzong through booking.com, we had booking conformation number too but whenever we called the hotel for location they said they don't have room for us. we were in the middle of no where. i dont recommend this hotel to any one. please do not go there or do not book this hotel through internet.
I had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at Hotel Parodzong at Pelling through yatra.com. The booking was a confirmed one. But to my surprise when we reached the hotel, we were told that our booking cannot be honoured as they have no confirmation from Yatra about our booking. The manager was very rude and denied any responsibility at our face. He asked us to contact Yatra and check with them as to why the booking was confirmed for the said dates when the hotel was overbooked. Further he asked us to pay a hefty price for rooms! When i reasoned him as I know how the online booking works as I am from the industry and know the nitty gritties of online bookings and as his hotel was selling through Yatra and the booking was a confirmed one, he should honour the booking, he quitely shied away stating that no rooms are available and to look for another hotel. I would advise all travellers to avoid this hotel. To our good fortune we checked to another hotel - Panchak right next to Parodzong, which is a better hotel with very good rooms and the staff were very courteous and helpful. Food was amazing and the best of all was the view of the Kanchenjunga from the rooms..simply amazing. All travellers, please avoid hotel Parodzong. Rather stay at Panchak.…
