Probably the best resort for stay at Pelling. Entire Kanchenjunga range is visible from all the rooms. As this is the single resort on a hill top it's absolute peaceful and serene. You can spend an entire day sitting on the benches with a view of the mountain range. Food quality was good but could have been a little extra variety. The twin fire place in the lobby is exquisite. Special mention to the courteous staff and the two dogs Cara & Coco.
Can call it a unique boutique property with excellent service although the staff strength was a bit limited due to pandemic. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is its location (absolutely quiet and serene) and the fantastic Kanchenjunga range view. It may not boast of luxury in the rooms but fairly comfortable and functional. The lobby is really beautiful and we spent the evenings there (outside would have been wonderful too but it was cold). Do not except much activity there - just enjoy the peace and beauty of the place. We had a fantastic stay and hope to be back there someday.
Very disappointing. 1) Hotel staff : some are smiling and courteous but they are not trained professionally. Everytime you order something they remind you it will be charged. Manager is very incompetent, has no idea about sightseeing or anything that you ask. 2) Food : Only north indian food (few curries and roti) with extremely limited options. Pelling doesn't have much food options so you will feel stuck. Hardly any tea or drink options. When you ask for green tea the manager will tell you it's not available. 3) Amenities : No valet parking, no baby cot, no nanny service, no Wifi (they claim to have it but it wasn't working for 3 nights we stayed). When you call for water in the room, they will remind you each time that it's chargeable. No bonfire or barbeque provision. 4) Spa : It's not a spa (the website has incorrect information). It is only a massage room. They don't have steam or scrub facility. 5) Room sizes are not large but decent but in-room amenities are poor. No coffee and only CTC tea option. Two single beds have been combined to make it double which is obviously inconvenient for couples. Also no baby cot option. Mountain views are great from the window. I'm surprised with my experience as most people have rated it highly. Seems like it is poorly run during the pandemic or had a management change. Only nice thing about the stay was the beautiful views of Kanchenjunga and two lovely dogs.…
This is by far the most luxurious stay you can have at Pelling. The hotels sits at the top of a hill with a view of Kanchenjunga. The interior makes you think that you are stuck in time with antique furniture, wooden flooring and floral carpets. The staff was very prompt and courteous. Food was very good and the variety was adequate. All rooms have pretty much the same view so you are guaranteed breathtaking views of west sikkim. Do make your bookings with the dinner package included because there is nothing around you can easily walk to.
The elgin mount pandim is a great hotel will all posh facilities. The view of Kanchenjunga ranges from the hotel room is breathtaking, food is delicious and staff is extremely courteous. Its a must choice if you are planning to stay nearby pelling.
