We went for the March Madness deal of three courses for £11. The choice was limited to 3 choices for each course, but we found it excellent value. The menu changes each month. Portions were very generous and the staff were very attentive. We have also had lunch at the Crown several times and can vouch for the homemade soup...

The rooms are basic but for the prices charged are still pretty good value. Food is very good and you had better go in hungry as the portions are large. Staff were great, we stayed at new year and the manager stayed up half the night and still was up to make breakfast (which is also very good) in the...

The bar area is in desperate need of a make over and the draught ale we sampled was on the turn so perhaps worth considering avoiding the bar. The food we had was good, with ample portions and reasonably priced.

We wanted a nice quiet place for dinner whilst on holiday and thought we would give the crown a try. it lived up to our expectations - we had a lovely meal in a nice quiet atmosphere - we will be back.

Having stayed at the Crown twice before, I had a fondness for the place - cosy and functional. Okay the owner slept in so we had to wait for breakfast, and he gets angry if your booking doesn't match his memory, but the rest of the staff are lovely. On our most recent stay (3 separate rooms for three colleagues)...

Having been on a family holiday for a week we were very fortunate to have found this little gem. We ate here most night and once during the day and it could not be faulted in any way what so ever. The food was delicious in every way with a flare for presentation. One of our party was gluten free...

My wife and I were staying in Northumberland, and decide to cross the border into Scotland. Our nearest Scottish town was Langholm. We decide to have lunch at The Crown Hotel. The hosts were welcoming and the food was good. We would visit again.

Dropped in by chance passing through, quaint little town handy for travelling to other locations, we enjoyed the night, welcoming landlord and friendly bar staff and regulars, rooms are clean with good shower and fresh cooked breakfast plentiful. good value.

4 of us stayed on Saturday the 25th of April. From the welcoming staff to the "fill your boots" full breakfast everything was great. All the party enjoyed it and we're already considering coming back. Many thanks to all at the Crown Hotel!

Very nice and welcoming host, food was nothing short of excellent, 4 of us ate, different meals, all very good. 3 of us stayed the night, a good nights sleep by all on a dark wet March night, great fresh cooked breakfast in the morning too, thanks.
