The owner Ian met us in the car park and helped us stow our bikes from the elements. Rooms were good, food excellent and the live band in the evening topped our stay off perfectly. I real gem of a place hidden away. Well worth a visit!

After looking at a cottage to rent in Munkleigh, I decided to try and find somewhere to stay for the night as didn't want to drive to visit family in South Devon due to the late hour. I was recommended a BB but this was full. The owner gave me the number for the Clinton Arms. I spoke to a... More

We stayed here on the first night of cycling the Tarka Trail and weren't disappointed. The downstairs was cosy and felt like a proper pub - a rarity these days. The bedrooms were brighter and very spacious. They were really clean and comfortable. The menu afforded a good choice and the food was absolutely delicious. The goats cheese and beetroot... More

After following tractors for what seemed like endless miles, we came across a lovely looking country pub. What a great welcome from some nice people, locals & Landlord alike. Plan your visit to arrive either on a Live Band Friday or a folkie jam sunday evening. If its good English Ales, home cooked food. You.ll love the Clinton

We called in for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago, the food was fine, I'm not sure what else was on the meu apart from roast beef or roast pork, as we weren't given a menu. The food came pretty quickly, and it was fine. The atmosphere is not great, the locals made you feel very much like you were... More

Popped to The Clinton Arms for some tea after work one evening with my husband. The greeting was warm and friendly, the dining room cosy, the service was brilliant and the food was fantastic. Real hearty portions. We both had beer battered cod and chips - and it was a top class piece of cod. We were stuffed but couldn't... More

Can't speak for the accomodation but the food is brilliant as ever. This pub is a pub, just that with no pretensions. Just good wholesome food. Other establishments could learn a lot from the team here.
