If you could not decide which hotel to stay at in Hongcunzhen, look no further, even so it's a detour from the village, it's so worth it! I'll explain why. I was promptly greeted by the owner's (who is a super friendly and awesome young couple) younger brother right upon arrival, and you get served a delicious warm cup (the cup is also very cool) of tea while you check in. My check in process was great and flawless! I can't get my eyes off of the amazing design by the mom (as this is indeed a mom & pop business, two thumbs up for that!) Everything from the chairs to the cabinets to the wall decor, even a small decor flower stand that says "Welcome"! The lobby is super awesome! My family got led to room #302 which is a 3 person room by the young brother, it is so spacious, and the art in the room is worthy of a stay too. You just literally feel like you are living in Europe, and it's a good thing! Plus, this is probably the cleanest hotel in the area by my looks, yes it's new but it's well maintained, and I expect to see it flourish more from my understanding of China. I toured few hotels in the area as well, but was not satisfied, this I was, instantly (and I still am 110% satisfied with my choice)! Breakfast on most time of the year is extra but at a small 10cny, it's a set that is a classical Chinese Breakfast, with a delicious Mantou, warm large bowl (family size) of Congee, yam/potatos, eggs and few other pickled veggies, it's for sure going to be welcomed by any stomach (yes if your stomach is tired of Asian Food like when I was there, [even so I am Chinese, but born and raised in the USA] and want Western Food, this breakfast is going to be soothing and you tummy will thank you, I guarantee it!) Also, Wifi speed is super quick, I had no problem streaming High Definition Youku Videos and such. Center Rooms are better in view of scenery, side rooms have a traditional Chinese Yard feel. Overall, all rooms are quite awesome and unique in their own respective ways, and the "twin" bed can fit two average sized adults but I recommend you occupy the full "twin" bed, because it's comfortable. Note: The Room by the Staircase can have some minimum noise, ultra-sensitive to noise? Avoid the rooms by the Stairs, I didn't have a problem though (I am sensitive to noise) so it's all up to you. Well, don't get too comfortable since you still should check out Hongcunzhen and the area too, because you are there for the scenery, but this hotel is the cherry on top, even so this hotel will spoil you, but hey that is why I would stay here again next time I am in Hongcunzhen! (P.S. You can even reserve Lunch and Dinner here so it's excellent, next time I'll try the wine selection here which seems pretty cool and translations show other Chinese guests like them!).…
