We stayed at Kewarra Beach Resort four days in early January.
As we arrived all seemed perfect, the receptionist welcomed us with a cocktail and gave us all the information about the resort while the porter brought the baggages to our bungalow.

We only stayed for one day and one night but the kids screamed at me for more. Our suite was like a private beach home, very secluded and comfortable despite the outdated furniture and kind of an old, yet comfortable feeling. The swimming pools are...More

Hi Troy, great question. Crocodiles live pretty much anywhere in the top end of Australia and this region is no exception. The local area is monitored very well by the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection. Any animal that is sighted is relocated.
It is certainly never advisable to swim around or in the local estuaries, river mouths and especially at night. Otherwise the oceans are warm and inviting year round and Kewarra Beach has it's own stinger enclosure for the periods when required.
We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you to our sunny shores.

There are no bars or restaurants nearby.
No problem with tour operators picking you up from the resort.
Small shops are about 20-30 min walk away. There is also large shopping centre about 45-50 min walk away.
