Motel is clean and friendly, fairly new and conveniently located ten minutes' walk from town, and just over the road from a Four Square and an excellent cafe/bakery. But Opitiki is not the most lively of towns. It's best feature is the estuary, dunes and the big, almost deserted beach, and the cycle tracks around the area.

Great value motel accommodation very clean and comfortable. Good size rooms Very good value for money. Not top of the range but quiet and comfortable. There is a good cafe across the road with a great breakfast which is a bonus. Close to town .

The Eastland Pacific Motor Lodge is the nicest, cleanest Motel we have ever stayed in. We make a point of staying there whenever we have reason to stay in the Bay of Plenty. The Hosts are very friendly and helpful. There is nothing negative at all.Everything we wanted is in walking distance. Cheers Don

Just to echo the other reviews here. This place is great value for money, clean and comfortable. The place was spotless and the owners friendly. The kids loved the tramp and play equipment too. I was most impressed.

Just travelling around the coast and we decided to stop in this town for the night. We were fortunate to get the last available room and I thought the price was very reasonable. What a very nice surprise to walk into such a beautifully presented studio room - spacious as well. Compared to other similar places I've stayed at recently,...

Perhaps more expensive than other motor lodges in the town - we were invited on arrival to try the others but we did not bother! - the stay was comfortable, inviting and enjoyable. The excellent fish and chip shop opposite, although a little scruffy, nevertheless produced some excellent fare; supplemented by the local supermarket. Well worth finding as we travelled...

Best motel I've ever come across in New Zealand. I was traveling to Gisborne and had to turn back due to a slip on the road. When I arrived the owners were so welcoming and I felt safe on my own in an unfamiliar town. When entering the unit everything was spotless and clean. Great!

We had a good comfortable night stay here. The rooms were well laid out with a spa bath and seperate bedroom. The lounge dining area had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly. We were close enough to the main road and had an excellent bakery across the road. Loved Opotiki second hand shops.

This is a very good motel and probably the best in Opotiki. The units are very clean and i would suggest you ask for one of the updated units if they are available. While it is on the main road, the traffic dies down from early evening onwards so was not an issue. Directly opposite there is a Bakery Cafe...

Eastland Pacific Motor Lodge is a typical motel in a small town, so you cannot expect all amenities of a hotel. The rooms are clean and nice in the newer building of the motel. There is no air-conditioning, but you can open windows to get a bit of breeze, if it is otherwise too warm. If you hear a loud...
