Stayed in Mickeys Cottage last weekend , it was dreadful, Dirty , Dusty, Greasy, very rundown, did not see anyone between the time we arrived and left, I spoke to Niall the Superhost by messanger he said he never had anyone say it was dirty or greasy before and he would look into it, there were black beetles on the floor at night that seem to live under the fridge also woodlice around the walls at the sink , we felt dirty just by been there , Niall said when we book again he will give us a discount? As if we would ever go near the place again, I did send him photos but he said he could not make them out. This is a genuine review .

Myself and hubby went to Mary's Cottage and had a wonderful time here. The area is a most peaceful and beautiful place. Gwen, the owner, is a lovely lady to deal with and we didn't have any problems at all. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped with everything you could want for your stay. Absence of TV and WI-FI are no big deal. In fact it added to our relaxing break. The open turf fire in the evening meant a cosy night in relaxing after our days of touring. It is a good base to tour about and visit all the local spots of interest. Plenty to vist and enjoy. There is a great takaway in the village. You just need to go and collect it yourself but that's no problem. The village could do with a decent restaurant but I guess off season they might struggle. We cannot recommend the cottages enough and are already planning a trip there again next year.…

Recently booked a weekend for September 2020 via the “Book Now” section on their website. Received an email stating they’d be in touch. Never heard anything so after a few days rang Mamore staff to confirm the booking only to be told it had been booked via another booking site for other people, this was despite the fact I had booked via their own website..... so, WARNING!! Make sure you confirm with them straight away as Mamore cottages don’t seem to be on top of their bookings when they receive them. I work for the ambulance service and had given everything I could through Covid. This booking was meant to be the first opportunity I had to spend time with my family once restrictions were relaxed. Bitterly disappointed in Mamore cottages

I stayed in Seorise's cottage which was very relaxing and a unique experience. The cottage was very comfortable and stocked with turf to burn on the open fire. I'd 100 % go back and stay again and bring friends to stay in the other cottages next door.

We recently stayed two nights. Hostess was there to greet us and fire was going. Adorable cottage with stunning views out the front door. The regular bed was very comfy but I also tried the settle bed next to the fire one night and it was a great experience (I’m 5’2” so fit ok). Loved the turf fireplace and slab floor. Lots of amazing scenery in the area, and good food just down the road. Hostess was kind enough to book a table for us at the local restaurant just in time for the Sunday night seisiún. Such a magical place - we will be back for a longer stay someday.

Just fantastic, what a spot, unbelievable. I run from time to time motorbike trips around ireland and on one of these trips we drove past Mamore cottages on route to The Gap of Mamore which also is a beautiful place to visit. I said to my mrs when i got home I had spotted these we quaint thatched cottages and would love to stay there for a couple of nights. I got in contact with a girl called Gwen who was so helpful by phone and email. I also got contacted by a guy called Niall who also was more than helpful so I knew then by their manner it was going to be a great trip. We arrived on the saturday Gwen had the heating on ( oil ) and had left turf, firelighters and matches all ready to go. The best bit was we were able to bring our german shepherd with us in the car by the way not the motorbike. We got the fire lit and headed out for a walk. The amount of beautiful beaches in the area is great, the view from the front of the cottage is fantastic looking right over to Fanad Head and Portsalon.Just remember bring good wet gear and warm cloths and boots as the weather is very changeable. I think I will leave the rest to the pictures. Every picture tells a story.…

I run motorbike trips around ireland and I had passed these cottages a few months ago and thought I would try them to stay in them with the mrs, with their thatched roof and their whole appearance looked fantastic. We booked a small cottage for two and even better you can bring your dog with you which is fantastic. The cottage was lovely and tidy, oil heating backed up with a large turf fire, Cooker, shower, all facilities you would expect from a quaint cottage. Turf, oil and electric supplied in the price. Right on the Gap of Mamore and the beautiful surroundings. The scenery was to die for and I've seen plenty of scenery on my bike trips around Ireland, the beaches close by are something else.
