We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The location is beautiful with the waterfall right next to the house. The selection of breakfasts is great- it's not just full Irish or cereal. Dorothy is a perfect host- extremely helpful and easy to chat to (though not too imposingly friendly which is a big plus!) Our room was comfortable and really pretty.

My Children had booked Afternoon Tea, for my Mother and Myself on Mother's Day. I can only say the level of Disappointment was Stupendous. On arrival we were shown to our Table. No decadence, no extra little niceties included for Mother's Day, and not as much as a Daisy or basic Serviette on the Table. My Daughter had to use a Saucer as a side plate as hers was missing. On producing the 'food', we all were aghast at what was on the wonky cake stand. Every single item of Food, apart from the Sandwiches, was 'bought in' mass produced, tasteless cr#p..!! The Sandwiches were just about OK, as for the 'dainty little scones' as you would expect, sitting down to Vintage Afternoon Tea, were the size of boulders, and and again, bought in. This irked me greatly. I, as a Chef and

iMy wife's cousin,,her husband and myself recently stayed the night here. The driveway has generous parking space and our rooms were very spacious,,spotlessly clean (as is the entire house} and well stocked with regard to tea/coffee etc. The beds were extremely comfortable and after a good night's sleep we had a delicious full Irish breakfast the next morning. Our host Dorothy was friendly and ,made us feel very welcome. Would unreservedly recommend the Glen House to anyone and its rates are very reasonable.

We spent two nights in Clonmany so that my husband could play the Ballyliffin golf course. Glen House was the most luxurious B&B in which we had the pleasure of staying during our month in Ireland. An absolutely beautiful manor house with a very spacious bedroom, large comfortable bed, and—finally!—a decent-sized bathroom. The room itself was beautifully decorated. A very minor negative point was that the walls seem thin and noise travelled easily between the rooms, but this was a trivial issue. The breakfast room was lovely and there was also a lounge area for guest use (with a bar set up in the corner for what I imagine must be some very sociable evenings!). I sat here one afternoon doing needlework and it was relaxing and comfortable. This B&B is in a rural setting so

We recently had a small family function that I wished to hold in my own home, not far from Clonmany. On looking around for an outside catering company to come into our home, prepare and set up a buffet style meal for approx 50 guests, I approached Dorothy from The Glen House and asked her if she could accommodate. Acknowledging that this is not normally a service that they would provide, I found Dorothy helpful, flexible, able to listen to my requests, with practical suggestions and advice. The food - chicken curry [ yum], rice, chips, lasagne, goujons and sausages were all delicious, set up at home and kept warm in a bain marie by the time we returned [ en mass] from an outside function. It gave me the time to mix with guests and removed all stress from the evening. It was
