At satpura retreat i had a very bad experience. I would like to point out some important point for those who wish to visit chikhaldara and looking for satpura retreat. 1. Do not visit Chikhaldara in OFF season . nothing to see as such. One day is sufficient to cover all the spots. Terrible condition of roads to visit the...

The resort is good and food is especially nice. Compared to other resorts in the vicinity, it has a better ambiance. The older cottages are quite spacious but the woodwork has got spoiled which gives a distasteful look. But the new cottages are great and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We went in the month of July. As it was rainy season the weather was awesome which enhanced the beauty of the resort as it is surrounded by beautiful trees, plants and flower. Rooms are good if maintained as the rooms are not cleaned unless asked for. Food is very good in taste but you have to wait long as...

The Britishers discovered & developed Chikhaldara as a hill station coz they couldn't handle the heat of Vidarbha plains during the summer. It's a quaint place 1.1 KM high in the hills. Satpura Retreat has cottages spread on a 6 acre natural campus. While it is more than 10 years old, the retreat is well maintained. The service is very...

Our first choice at Chikhaldara was MTDC resort but it was under renovation so we ended up staying in Satpura Retreat. Nice clean campus. Spacious neat, comfortable and clean rooms though not very contemporary or fancy. The staff is extremely courteous. Ramdas in particular always had a smile while catering to our needs during the stay. The highlight is that they...

We visited chikaldhara in march 2014(not a good time to visit). We booked a 4 bed room for 5 persons. There were 2 bed rooms in the cottage booked which was pretty good. One bedroom was quite spacious, there's a small room hall also which can easily accomodate couple more.the resort is quite scenic. The rooms are pretty clean. Rent...

Visited the place In October and had booked a four Bed cottage. The location is perfect an excellent place to enjoy the Beauty of chikaldara( This is what pulls it from average to good). The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were not very well maintained . Beds were clean. The doors inside the cottage looked old and in...

I had organised a conference there for Agri dealers and had done advanced bookings for rooms and conference hall. The hotel Manager, Bhaskar Chavan is a helpful man and made arrangements as expected. The hotel rooms allotted - Cottages were expensive but well maintained. Due to lack of staff and resources (As Chikhaldara is slightly isolated), you cannot expect everything...
