This small hotel and restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The food cooked by Carme was "slow food", superb and cooked with love and from the heart and the service given by Carles was done with enthusiasm and warmth. We stayed two nights. One on the way to Rioja and one again on the way back because it was so wonderful. We... More

This is a wonderful place to stay made great by the hard working owners who oversee this establishment. From the first moment that Carlos blasi met us he did everything to make us feel that this was our home as well. He help me park my car and carried my luggage from the car all the way upstairs and then... More

We spent two night in MontBlanc at Fonda Cal Blasi and -- based on Tripadvisor reviews we ate there both nights. The food was superb and varied: the escalavita was the best we had in Catalunya, as was the Jambon Iberica and the sausage. Carme and Carles spoiled us for anywhere else in Catalunya. We did not try other restaurants... More

This quirky small hotel is an ideal stop over or base for a walking holiday. The accommodation is basic but extremely comfortable. The owners are an absolute delight. Evening meal is an event not to be missed. A full graphic culinary explanation is given to each dish, demonstrating the wonderful enthusiasm of Carles and his love of the job. Patience... More

This was my house for almost 4 months because I needed to work nearby. Carme and Carles are the best and most nice people you can find in Catalunya I think. The food Carme cooks is really amazing and Carles can present this in a informatic and funny way. The food is all real catalan slow-food made by Carme. The... More

Upon arriving in Montblanc, following GPS we were directed down a tiny road (alley) towards the center of the old town. We weren't sure we were supposed to be driving on these (roads) since there was no one else around and we were the only vehicle to be seen (it was siesta time). Navigating the roads within the walls of... More

I have to disagree with the majority of reviewers here. There's nothing really wrong with the accommodation, the breakfast next day was great but I'm afraid I found the host just too in your face all the time and have reduced the rating because of it. It's clearly a personal view as I can see that a lot of reviewers... More

Montblanc is a lovely town with honeyed stone buildings, impressive ramparts and a lively locals square. Parking is on the main road - just a couple of minutes walk away - 1 smaller free car park and a larger one on the other side of the bus stop which is payable. Carles and his wife Carme run the hotel -... More
