Located inside the core of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, the Dhikala forest rest house is the best location to stay in the park. It is located near to two most happening spots where big game action often happens. Dhikala grasslands and the Ramganga riverbank - The Sambar road. Best places where tiger & elephant action builds up suddenly and presents... More

We stayed in the Dhikala Forest Rest House from 16/11/2016 to 18/11/2016. We boarded the Kathgodam Shatabdi Exp. which departs from New Delhi at 6:00 am and got down at Haldwani around 11:15 am. I booked a rental taxi through Kathgodam Taxi online ( +91 73517 21351) from Haldwani to Ramnagar. Their service was very prompt. Mr. Ramesh Chandra (... More

Please dont have expectations and come without any expectations in Dhikala FRH-this is not at all a luxury accommodation. Well, there are water problems, there is no non veg food, only vegetarian food which is hell costly compared to its quality!! Having said all these.Dhikala FRH is located at a whopping 40 Kms inside the Dhikala Zone of Jim Corbett National Park. The location... More

i visited this place on Nov,2010 & Dec 2013 ,Dec2014, the elephant ride was amazing, the grassland of Dhikala was so beautiful, food buffet in canteen just too good, we got hutment rooms, very spacious, clean, well furnished, But nowadays Corbett National Park is out of reach. The total system of online booking (corbettonline.uk.gov.in) is just eye wash, nothing but farse.

When I say best stay to set the expectations right I am considering....best & very beautiful location, life long experience, stay in the heart of jungle. In Night one can easily hear calls of animals, see movement of gangs of Wild elephants drinking water & moving around the water body. Beautiful birds sighting & of course Elephant Safari can be... Awesome location next to the Ram ganga river. Govt. guest house with very basic accommodation and most of the rooms are not maintained properly. The positive is that the same is bang in the middle of the forest and if you are a naturalist you are gonna love the place/location. Rooms are desperately in need of renovation and maintenance. Place... More

After taking our breakfast at Bijrani FRH , we moved to Dhikala FRH on 28th May . Dhikala FRH is indeed at the heart of Dhikala zone as it is 31 km inside from the Dhangiri gate . We might have moved hardly 10 km when we found ourselves 15 m behind a huge tusker walking on mountainous jungle path... More

One of the most favourite zones in the jungle, loved by photographers. Most amazing landscapes. Beautiful water bodies. Out of the world backdrops! Grasslands, mountains, trees, bushes, seasonal water bodies, mini tributaries, all kinds of animals and birds. It's a beautiful area to be in. It's an experience in itself. Don't just go for lovely tigers. Absorb the natural beauty... More

One of the best Forest Rest Houses in India I would say The place is 31 kms inside the Forest so the only way to get here is by a gypsy. The tide itself is awesome through huge sal trees whose scale one can only gauge and admire once there. The first rest house if located right in the middle... More
