This was my second visit to Vanghat Lodge. This place is nothing short of amazing. Despite of it being located far into the jungle where there is a walk of 3 KM before you reach, they maintain the resort well with all basic facilities. The food is homely, exactly the kind you would want to have while at a Jungle...

Having grown up reading Jim Corbett, my visit to Vanghat popped me right from books to realism. The pure thrill of walking on tiger land, crossing rivers where tigers swim, and staying amidst the calls of great birdlife, it was an experience by itself. The eco concious cottages, friendly service by the staff, awesome food and ofcourse the hospitality by...

A great weekend where you are truly taken back to the basics of our being. One with nature... The birds, trees, butterflies, animals and of course the amazing staff who know why you are there. A great balance of privacy and engagement which truly makes one feel comfortable. The daytime walks through the forest, with unseen animals crashing through the...

Staying at Vanghat Lodge is such an extraordinary experience, the proximity of wildlife and dedication of the team there makes it a truly wonderful place to stay. The accommodation is simple yet beautiful and very comfortable. There are no running hot showers but water is brought each evening in buckets and the bathrooms are clean and charming - perhaps not...

Vanghat is probably one of the most special places I have ever been to - the sense of tranquility, of beauty, of interest and of excitement are all found in abundance here. There's such a variety of birds and of course there are tigers. The first night as I lay in bed under a thick Himalayan quilt, cosy with a...

My husband and I recently visited Vanghat and were struck by several things. First,it is so far from civilization that the access to it is through a 2.5 km hike (including two river crossings by raft). Which is wonderful, as one rarely experiences an off road, off grid place like this. Second, the variety of bird, mammal and fish life...

We were a family group from the UK, young and old, and stayed at Vanghat Lodge for 4 days. From the very start we knew we were in a special and unique place, with comfortable lodges and amazing food, amid stunning and lush scenery, constantly aware of exotic sounds of birds and wild animals all around us. Our guides led...

As soon as we arrived at the raft crossing over to the lodge there was a huge sense of excitement within our group, the adventure had started! Upon walking into the lodge area there was a real feeling of tranquility and that you could forget the outside world, we couldn't wait to make it our home for the few days...

Vanghat is a gem of a place and certainly a highlight during my recent trip to India. From the moment I sat on the quaint raft to cross the Ramganga and trek to my delightful mud cottage I knew that I had made a good decision to visit. The beauty of the surroundings is breath-taking, the abundance of birds a...

A heavenly place right beside the Ramganga river. The resort emphasises on forest conservation and ecological sustainability....you become one with nature from the moment you enter the resort. It is an apt place to book into if you are looking to be away from crowds and vehicles and pollution. For, at vanghat, you are amidst nature with innumerable birds giving...
