Great place to stay and enjoy fine food. Menu is extensive gastro pub combined with a good selection of beers and wine. Wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Room was fine rather than amazing - good b&b standard. But certainly clean and cared for....breakfast was good but perhaps slightly disappointing given the quality of the evening dinner. The buffet...

We visited for a group meet up before a wedding. Fantastic place, great pub/bar & wonderful food. Charm of the pub has been retained with thought given to the decor when refurbished. Short walk into the town, very convenient location.

What a gem, lovely place with an excellent team of staff. Accommodation was adequate for a stay of 2/3 nights at least, the food was amazing and the ale superb. 20 Mins walk or so from the train station into Marylebone, so handy and perfect for an overnight/theatre stay if you don't want to go into central London. We stayed...

This is a 15th century pub so lots of low beams, stair cases and creaks! But tons of character in a great rural setting with lots of country walking nearby. Room was great and set in a suitable style for the building. Lots of towels and bathroom goodies and a huge bath. Just perfect for what we wanted. We will...

We had such a delicious meal here. Hearty, tasty food and such generous portions and very reasonably priced. The staff were so courteous and unflappable even as the venue got busier and busier. Impressed. Will return!

Had the special lobster dinner option as some friends live in the area and recommend the restaurant and so we met up there. It was great, lovely people and such a nice pub. Definitely worth the two or three course menu option - such a good deal!

Stayed over for work, the reception was very nice and shown to the room. Room was great and very tastefully done with all that you would expect in a hotel. Comfy bed with nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Decided to stay overnight before a meeting nearby, and arrived (Sunday) at 5pm to find the restaurant packed and very busy; booked a table for 6.30pm (last orders at 6.45pm on Sundays), and went upstairs to a 'recently modernised room 5', ie grey carpet, dark grey striped curtains with eyes on rail, light grey walls, rather black petite bathroom (nb...

Stayed overnight 13/14th October 2016 to attend The British Masters Golf Comp. We had a lovely comfortable stay. Staff (especially John) were helpful and hospitable, The Food was Excellent, Lunch, Dinner and finally Breakfast, Highly recommend. There are always negatives but the positives far out weighed them. Thank you.

We chose this Hotel as it was close to an event we were attending in nearby Kop Hill, we were not disappointed our room had everything we required and was very quirky and comfortable. The restaurant food was lovely and the breakfast was very well cooked. They have an excellent chef as both nights we were served excellent quality food...
