a wonderfully relaxed and beautifully decorated family home We had a very warm welcome and felt at our ease immediately. It was a charming house and garden of character. Our first experience of staying in chambres d'hotes and it could not have been better. A highlight was having breakfast with the owners which did not happen again in the other...

Have read some of the negative reviews and couldn't disagree more!! We stayed for only one night on our way back to Calais and can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. Our hosts were charming, friendly and helpful. We dined with them and another French couple and had a truly memorable evening - food was remarkable and the company...

My wife and I spent two nights here. The first night we had dinner with the host family. The food was exquisite, delightfully served and exceptionally delicious. This family owned French Manor was a gem. Step back into the 17th century when you stay here. The garden is outstandingly beautiful. The hosts were warm and friendly and made for a...

It was the second time we staid at the B&B and it was very nice. At first we were a little unsure because of some of the response we read on the site but for us it was more then we asked for. The people who open the B&B have accomplished big things and created an environment well worth seeing....

Last year I was travelling down the Loire Valley on business. I was off the beaten track and found myself in this tiny village of Valaire. There was only one B&B that I could see, Les Metamorphozes. The gates were open and there was a sort of art exhibition going on. I was mesmerised. People were milling around, glass of...

DEPLORABLE! OUTRAGEAOUS! The house is beautiful, a real museum. Shame it lacks warmth and heart, basically because held in hostage by both owners we can describe as sinister, unpleasant, arrogant, rude, haughty and who excel at making you feel painfully uncomfortable. You are "welcomed" by a warning not to eat fruits (or anything else) in the bedroom and to be...

This is not a hotel but a 'maison d'hote' or the equivalent of a B&B. That concept is very dear to the hosts and they insist that they are not running a hotel and that guests should behave as friends visiting each others which means that they expect people not to ruin the rooms after their stay or showing up...

Nice place, big and clean rooms, cozy garden, silent and peaceful countryside. A really good restaurant just in front (we didn't dare to taste the home cuisine). The only con is the hosts. They were incredible. The lady welcomed us with a dry "do not haul your trolley bag on the gravel: it leaves tracks". And the best one -...
