We chose this hotel for its location between points on our drive to north highlands. There is not much to the town but hikers. The hotel restaurant is the only place to eat - which we found very good. Check in was little strange with wifi down. No wifi anywhere but that doesn't matter to me except how it affected...

We do live in a very remote location and Kinlochewe village is not exactly a buzzing metropolis, but that is surely the charm of a visit to the Northwest Highlands? It is good to hear that you enjoyed the food we serve and that you rated the mussels the best of your trip. Some parts of the building date back...

Our bed was uncomfortable, the shower was dismal, the room had no radio nor tv and neither did the sitting room, e.g. the option was not there. The food in the bar was not acceptable due to it being cold when served and still being costly despite a complaint being made, no attempt to rectify nor any form of customer...

Oooh! sorry that your stay with us did not meet with your expectations and nothing we did satisfied you Thankfully you seem to be in a very small minority and by far most of our guests are more than satisfied with our accommodation, find our beds extremely comfortable and our food more than satisfactory. I am amazed that you thought...

I stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a single room which was fine for just me, clean, comfortable and had the basic necessities. The food is fantastic everything is fresh and made to order wither it be in the bar or for breakfast. Good selection of whisky, Scottish Gin and Local ales in...

we are so pleased to hear that you appreciate our peace and quiet policy and understand our reasoning for turning off the wifi between 6pm and 9pm in order to retain the sociable ambience in the bar. Our selection of whiskies and Scottish gin are ever growing - although Andrew & I fight about the amount of shelf space allotted...

We arrived about 15 mins after the kitchen closed- we were cycling the NC500. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and the staff heated us up some lovely casserole which was very much appreciated. We stayed in an economy twin room, the room was nice and spacious with an additional plug in heater and sink (shared bathroom down...

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do have purpose built zip and link beds which can function as either twin beds or a superking 6' double bed. Most of our guests find them very comfortable and wonderfully spacious. Please bear in mind that we are in the remote Northwest Highlands and...

Stayed here between Fri 16th+Sun18th Sept.We had a twin room(no doubles left due to the popularity of the place.)The hotel is very quiet(no TVs in the hotel at all, making for a very peaceful+restful stay.)We were in room 3,very clean+comfortable, but the en-suite is very small, also, the floor was giving way+eventually the toilet pan came loose(although to be fair, the owners admitted there...

We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated our peace and quiet policy of no televisions. You will be pleased to hear that the floor in the shower room you stayed in (which was a bit dodgy!) has been fully refitted and re-laid and is now as good as new! It is good to...

We stayed at the hotel during our North Coast 500 trip. Upon arrival, we were concerned as the hotel looked run down. Check in was confusing as it was not clear where to go. We walked through the bar and to the check in table, which had a sign to go back to the bar. Once we had checked in,...

We do advertise the fact that our two economy rooms share a bathroom (hence why they are substantially cheaper than the en suite rooms!). We realise that the enamel on the very large, original Victorian bath is a little chipped after a busy season when some guests have been than careful using the original tube shaped plug and dropping it...

Stayed for one night in the bunkhouse, but won't stay again. The kitchen was filthy, the drying room didn't dry anything and there was no hot water in the bathroom. The shower was OK though. It wasn't expensive but that's no excuse for the condition of the place and the lack of cleanliness. Had our evening meal in the hotel....

We would like to point out that the bunkhouse is thoroughly cleaned daily and that there is plenty of hot water (you do sometimes have to let it run for a while). Sometimes other bunkhouse users do make a mess after we have cleaned it but there is little we can do to prevent this other than to ask everyone...

Thank you. It is good to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We are certainly perfectly placed for travellers on the North coast 500 route. Andrew is always thinking of more malt whiskies that he would like - if only there were more shelves!
