I visit Whickham regularly and was pleased to find this friendly, convenient guest house. I have no criticisms to make except that when I tried to book it again I discovered it is no longer possible to stay for one night - two is now the minimum, so sadly I have to look for somewhere else.

Everything was great about the place. But thank goodness we had a GPS to find it. It was within walking distance of a number of places to eat as well as a grocery store. But was not close to city center. A very nice place though.

I recently stayed at the Summerville guest house with 4 others and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were greeted by Paul (owner) when we arrived and he allowed us to check in early. The service was excellent and the breakfast was even better. Highly recommend to anyone. Top class.

From the moment I booked Paul... More

Just returned from my second stay - Paul is friendly / welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable bed, clean room and good breakfast - Breakfast served right up until 930 am on a weekend so not too early after a night out in Newcastle Thanks again Paul. See you again next time I'm up in the north east!

Stayed in the guest house for 1 night In August with friends, Paul gave us a very warm welcome, the rooms are very clean and the Breakfast was lovely. A very quiet location, but close to all the local pubs and shops, Will definitely stay there again.
