This is a clear example of one of the best Italian experience without reserve. Elegance without arrogance, attentive and smiling service without intrusiveness, comfortable, sober and relaxing environment and last but not least a sublime cuisine, which enchants and stuns the senses because it respects the raw material, thanks to an enlightened chef who chooses to offer his guests his creativity without ever distorting the flavours of top quality Italian ingredients. A model for other alleged chefs. Continue like this. We will come back!
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for one night in October and loved it. A small, quiet, secluded hotel, it was the perfect romantic escape. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are fantastic. The sheets were incredibly soft and the room had the most fun monkey wallpaper. The hotel also has surprising pops of modern art throughout--very unique! The breakfast was also delicious. Felix and Natasia also welcomed us when we arrived with a big smile and glass of champagne, a perfect welcome! I can't wait to return during the summer months when we can use the pool.
If you want the perfect combination of seclusion, best hotel rooms ever, including best linen and impeccable cleanliness, a lovely pool, a top choice restaurant, highest quality breakfast, really good personalised service AND your own Palladio-villa and well curated artworks all around you, then do not hesitate to book a few nights at this meticulously restored hotel. Goes without saying that this is also one of the most tastefully decorated hotels we have ever visited.
My husband and I stayed at La Barchessa for 2 nights in September (on a Secret Escapes deal) as part of a 2-week tour around the Veneto region. I knew the hotel was going to be fabulous(after reading TA reviews) and I certainly was not disappointed ! From the very moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and valued. We had a welcome drink and a small tour of the facilities. Everything at La Barchessa has been so carefully designed or chosen...it's beautiful. Modern mixed with antique which works incredibly well. ( and I loved the Molton Brown products in the bathroom.) Our room was on the second floor overlooking the grounds and was stunning with a 4 poster and high, high rafters. The bed was so comfy, my husband and I had the best night's sleep we have had in years! Really !...we didn't wake up until 10m! Thank goodness the breakfast was until 11...it really is something I wouldn't want to miss! A real feast! Our other meals at La Barchessa, a lunch and 2 evening meals were also superb ! I can not heap enough praise on the Chef. The petit fours were so beautifully presented, I had tears in my eyes !!...sad I know! We had a look around the villa itself which is a masterpiece, literally, designed by Palladio. We also used the lovely outdoor pool and were the only ones there. To stay at La Barchessa is such a treat. We didn't have a car which I regret, as, to be honest, you do need one if you want to explore nearby towns. Next time we will. I will, without a doubt, return to La Barchessa. I can not praise all the staff highly enough, reception being so helpful, before and during our stay, the maitre'd and his team being courteous and attentive. The renovation of La Barchessa is a triumph that I feel sure Palladio himself would approve of! Don't hesitate, book your stay, you will not regret it.…
As a fan of Palladio's architecture I visited Villa Pisani four years ago before the barchessa was transformed into a small hotel and was thrilled to stay here. Our room (number 14) was very spacious and more like a suite, every comfort was provided including a complimentary bottle of wine and water.. We stayed on Sunday and Monday and unfortunately their Osteria is closed on both these evenings so we had to go to restaurants in the local towns. Staff are lovely. The pool area is quite basic but clean and nicely equipped.. Excellent value for money, would highly recommend a stay at this tranquil location in beautiful countryside.
