We stayed for a day on the way to Ooty and the experience was wonderful. The place is very quiet, peaceful and close to nature. The food was awesome and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious with nice balcony view. We did not see tiger during jungle safari, but could spot lot of deers, sambar, nilgai, bisen,...

Overall experience was alright but honestly not worth the price at all. Paid more than Rupee 12,000 per night. No AC, toilet was full of ants and shower head was not functioning properly. We requested a kettle to boil water for tea and the kettle given was full of ants too. Staff were very friendly though. Food served was alright...

Spacious and classically designed in a eco-friendly set up in a thematic furnishing of wood furniture, lamp shades, decor, hand painted canvas, neutral lighting and a serene forest environment, Dhole's Den makes your Bandipur trip a memorable one. This is a spacious ensuite with bath and under sky shower, equipped with solar geysers, aerated and well lighted rooms, great hospitality...

My last minute decision to stay at Dhole's Den couldn't have been a better one. My reservation, safari and pick up requests were attended to efficiently by Vijayan. I knew I was in good hands the minute I spoke with him. I was welcomed warmly by Karthik and team and from them on, till the time I departed, every request...

Many thanks to the staff of this resort, they were very friendly and provided a great service, meals were fantastic great tastes fresh. The wildlife guide was very professional and able to read the signs of the animals that had passed by at night, these were leopard, bear, elephant and porcupine. The morning bird walks were very good (I did...

If this is being marketed as a homestay lacks warmth and friendliness. Man at reception area no personality just looked at computer screen constantly till we left. Food - no choice Rooms spacious. Obviously owner loves his dogs but they barked constantly throughout the night

Me and my husband visited this place for our year end vacation - 19th to 21st Dec 2016. Pros: Good food, helpful employees, rooms were nicely decorated. Cons: Evening lightings were dull in the room, lot of mosquitoes. However, These cons were minor compared to the behavior of the owner of the premises. Lack of professional manners from its Owner...

Dear Madam, thanks for writing to me. I consider your comments seriously as we always strive to make our guests happy. I apologize for the lack of required light in the rooms, but I do remember that we had a major breakdown that evening in the system and we were all but running on the power we had collected through...

We stayed here in September 2016 for one night as part of a tour with Citrus holidays. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Staff were very obliging and helpful. Food was brilliant, plentiful and catered well for us as we are vegetarian. We had a beautiful studio style room with a huge balcony overlooking the rear of the property. Anyone...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dhole's Den offers 5 living spaces (2 Habitats, 2 Garden Mansions and 1 Mountain Paradise (Junior Suite). Aptly termed Habitat these are spacious each with a large bedroom, a bath with a shower and access to the balcony that offers a commanding view of the Nilgiris and the landscape of Bandipur Large glass sliding doors offer a panoramic and unhindered view of the landscape and the Niligiri Mountains. The two separate Garden Mansions offer a spacious living and bed area and are about 1200 sq.ft in area. The living, bed and the bath are placed in such a way so as to offer privacy even without too many walls or doors. These mansions can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults. The bright and friendly bath area offers a shower open to the sky and even a view to the mountains both giving a special touch of freedom. The large balcony is separated from the bed room by sliding glass shutters allowing enough light and sight from the moment you wake up. Mountain Paradise is the newest addition to our homestay. This semi-detached mansion offers the most exclusive views that Dhole's Den has to offer. It overlooks our rain water pond and has a large balcony and a set of terraces that complement the setting to offer the guest spots to stay and pause while they walk to or away from this space. The bath is connected to an outdoor area that offers again a space to not just view the landscape but provides that feeling of adventure as one steps out and is at the border of our property and enjoy more than just a window to the forest. Dhole's Den is an eco-friendly safari lodge in the true sense of the word. We were the first to try and successfully employ eco-friendly methods in the Bandipur National Park. Most of our power is green. We treat our waste water using reed beds to reduce the effluents entering the ground water to the maximum and use a a bio-digester for the disposal of kitchenwaste and fresh produce from the garden is served whenever in season. We organise Safari to the Bandipur Tiger Reserve (camera fees have to be paid extra by the guests), nature walks, village safaris. We offer a jogging track, meditation area, indoor games and outgoor games as activities. Cooking demonstration and Yoga courses upon request. ... more   less
