We stayed here in a double room on a Saturday night as attending a wedding locally. I was impressed with the pleasant bar area and friendly staff. We checked in and was given our room key, on heading up to the room was surprised to find the room not made and other guests belonging including cases in the room. We...

We stayed here overnight whilst attending a wedding. We had the Lord Nelson, 4 poster bedroom. The view from the room was amazing across the estuary, everything you need in s room was there, good en suite, to, hairdryer , tea/coffe....and plenty of it for a change, our only complaint was the mattress which we found rather hard, but that's...

We booked a double room but upon arrival we were given a twin room, which was very pretty with a lovely view, however we asked if we could have a double room. We were given the keys to a double which was no where near as nice so we opted for the twin room. This room has a lovely low...

We discovered this pub whilst on a bike ride. Sat outside at the front on a beautiful , sunny day. Warmly welcomed by the staff. Wide choice on the menu , sensible prices. Enjoyed the the good quality fish , chips and peas. Would visit again when in the area.

As a returning guest it is plain to be seen that this establishment is under new management and it shows. Lot's of money has been spent upgrading not just the inside but also the outside of this well located hotel. The rooms have recently been re-furbished with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms complete with new fittings and all the soaps and...

We stopped here for one night when attending a friend's birthday party. Arrived mid-afternoon and went to our room first. All very comfortable and clean. Then went to the bar to grab a drink and late lunch snack. My wife had a delicious fish finger sandwich with a portion of chips to share. The chips were fantastic- I'd go back...

My wife and I called into the Ship on Wednesday afternoon and the place was really busy and we were lucky to get a table. The waiter and waitresses were really rushed off their feet and I thought when we sat down that we could be waiting quite a while for a meal. I ordered the drinks and the meal...

The Ship is situated on the coast at Parkgate directly overlooking the river Dee to Wales. A brisk walk along the prom certainly blows away the cobwebs before and after work. It is an old hotel and pub that has been tastefully decorated and offers rooms that overlook the Dee however these needs to be requested. Our double room was...

Stayed one night whilst visiting friends that lived nearby. ..and could easily have stayed a lot longer. Traditional building that has been sympathetically modernised. Staff were informal and friendly but very helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We didn't try the evening meal but the full English breakfast was great. The bar had a good atmosphere and made...
