Went down for a lovely evening walk with a friend on Monday and felt like a bite to eat. We ended up going in and to my amazement they sound Guinness' Hop House 13! Not many places around the Neston/Heswall area have this on draught so it was instantly a bonus! To begin with we started with the Seafood platter...

The Ship is one of my favourite places to eat. Mother in laws birthday so we decided to treat her. Booked in advance and went with high expectations. Unfortunately on this occasion the service was a little slow, and although two meals were brought we had to chase the third. Recently my wife has noticed that in a couple of...

Stayed overnight on a Friday we all ate late at the local Chinese but where amazed at the staffs agressive attitude to us because we wanted to sit down and have a drink at a table and not stand at the bar! All tables had a reservation notice on them but 50% where unoccupied for many hours apparently on the...

Popped in for an impromptu visit with two children who were 'peckish'. They had a children's starter of cheesy garlic bread each (as a main) and shared a portion of chips. My 8 year old was so impressed he Asked me to put a review on trip advisor! Chips were delicious. I had roast veg and goats cheese ciabatta which...

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Ship. For £47 bed and breakfast I wasn't expecting too much. However, I had a cosy yet comfortable double room, tv with free view, tea/coffee and a lovely en suite bath/shower. The bar/restaurant area is pleasant with a few intimate corners. Candles on the tables and of course views of north wales over...

I have been wanting to take the in-laws for lunch at The Ship. I booked a table for midday and we were one of the first in. The place soon filled up. Service is a little slow and had to ask for menus although staff walked past a few times. The staff were generally friendly. We ordered steak pie, game...

This hotel is very popular. The food was hot tasty and the staff and service excellent. We stayed in the Lady Hamilton four poster room which was clean and had a fantastic window seat with a view over the estuary. A lovely breakfast with plenty of choice.

Went back to visit Parkgate after many years. The area still the same except that the sealine is all silted up. Not much activity Visited the Ship for lunch. Very nice and service good. I think they do a BnB. Seems to be a good stopover enroute.

The ship pub has a lovely warming ambience with candle lit tables and a friendly buzz to it. Staff were friendly and helpful. We went for a meal on a Wednesday night - the place was busy so we felt hopeful for a nice meal. How wrong we were.... Our food took a long time to arrive so I started...
