I had notified the manager when I booked that I would have a small dog with me, and this was not a problem. The unit was dated, but spotlessly clean and had all we needed in it. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The motel is well located, near the supermarket, and although the railway line is nearby we...

Rooms were basic, but everything worked and the managers were friendly. Location is a very short walk from both a New World Supermarket and the meeting point for the Forgotten World Adventures rail cart and rail bike tours.

I stayed in Taumarunui recently for four days, to explore the area and do a little family visiting close by. Not having a car, I needed to be able to walk to any amenities necessary, and this was definitely a great location for shops, pubs, restaurants etc, all within easy walking distance. We needed two beds, so had a two...

Sorry, I don't think this motel is a "good value" as others do. The room is a cinder block prison, our circa 1950 cheap stove was broken with a yellowing sign "oven out of order", there was no headboard, only one (broken) bedside lamp. The owner was pleasant enough in the evening when we checked in, but at 10:10 am...

If you want to play you have to pay. If you want it flash, then pay the cash. You get what you pay for. Built about 1960s and still has the old features, like stepping back in time when I was a teenager, same style shower, taps, bench tops etc. The cleaners need to pay attention to the ceilings and...

Stayed in family unit 8, this is not retro it's just plain ancient, including filthy carpets, mouldy curtains and stain ridden material dining seats. The worst was the disgusting smell of dust and damp that kept us up through the night coughing. We slept with the sheet over our noses....The shower nozzle didn't even stay up high enough to cover...

Clean & warm rooms with own full kitchen, central location to local amentities. Lovely hot shower, very friendly service. Yes decor is dated, but is clean and comfortable, good for large groups, we had 3 adults and 1 child.

We stayed here overnight with our two young boys - aged 6 & 4. The Motel was perfect for us. Lots of beds all felt very clean and new bedding. The Motel has a lovely homely feel with a tupperware container of home made baking on the table. We left our underlay blanket behind and the owners called and even...
