The property was clean and comfortable, and the room was cozy. The trails right in the backyard of the house are awesome, and the walk to Clonbur is only 15-20 minutes, so you can avoid a dangerous walk on the road. Anne was very kind and accommodating. She was friendly and informative, and her breakfast was tasty! Highly recommend for someone looking to stay in the region.

This small hotel, situated in picturesque woodlands about one mile from the village of Clonbur,, is very welcoming and full of character. My wife and I stayed for two nights and had a comfortable room with a small balcony looking out across the garden and a field to the woods. Unfortunately the room (No. 2) was not as quiet as it could have been; the owners live in the hotel and it would seem that their living room was directly under our bedroom. Conversation in the living room was not noisy, but the sound insulation between downstairs and upstairs was so poor that we could almost follow the conversation. It didn't continue late, but sound-proofing is something that should be considered. Apart from that, an excellent stay.

Hosts Ann and Barry are THE BEST! They went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect, even if it was for just one night. We tried to make it two nights but they were booked up. Their 39 years in business shows in efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness. Very peaceful location. Much history. Excellent food. Great views. Very comfortable rooms. I cannot say enough good things about Ballykine . Highly Highly recommend. Thank you Ann and Barry, for our wonderful stay.

Best B&B ever! Hostess, Anne, is a treasure. Made hubby and I feel at home immediately. Very comfortable room with beautiful view of a portion of the exquisite garden and the lake beyond. Breakfast was excellent. Wish we had been able to stay several days in order to relax and enjoy! If going to Cong (site of The Quiet Man filming), this is the place to stay!!!

Ballykine House is located in the beautiful lakes area of Connemara and beautifully presented at the end of a long drive. Anne, the owner was most welcoming and very helpful with touring suggestions. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Parking was easy and evening meals were available at the nearby village of Clonbur. A great place to spend a couple of nights whilst exploring the Galway sector or the Wild Atlantic Way.
